I open my eyes to the sound of Nelly's sweet voice. She's holding my arm and moving my hair from my face. I'm sitting in a chair in the living room. May has a bandage around her thumb. Do I even want to know why? I was about to ask what happened when the memories came rushing back.

I had entered the bathroom and saw Nelly wrapping a bandage around May's thumb. Unfortunately, I had caught a glimpse of what had happened to her thumb. Somehow she had cut it with the knife. It had been so deep that if someone poked something in it, it would reach her bone.

I'm going to admit that the sight of deep cuts and blood make me queasy and lightheaded. I had not been able to bare the sight.

"Opal, are you okay?" Nelly asked as she noticed that I had opened my eyes.

"Yeah I'm perfect," I say.

"You sure," asked Reu. He had arrived when I had been unconscious.

"Yeah. The question is if May needs stitches?"

"Probably not. When you look at it its not that deep."

"Oh."

"Are you sure you're okay?" asked Jackson.

Balto came up to me and licked my face. "Yeah...I'll just get a drink and go back upstairs. Oh and you might want to clean the counter, the floor, and the sink in the kitchen."

"Yeah we'll do that. Just get some rest before we leave," said Reu.

"Yeah okay." I walk up the stairs and into my room.

Dang! May had sure scared me. I went back into the bathroom to get my brush. I continued to brush my hair. I unpaused my music. I started to braid my bangs to get them out of my face. Just then I heard my parents calling me downstairs.

I check the time on my clock. It read 5:53; we were late. I grab my iPhone and my earbuds and go downstairs to find everyone at the front door. I go into the garage where Balto is at. I make sure he has enough water and food. I close the door behind me and reunite with my family outside. The length between my new house and our neighbor's house is pretty far by foot, but by car its not. We got in the car and headed down the street.

It seemed like the little fiasco that had occurred earlier had never happened. I had hoped that I would be able to forget everything that had happened up until now. Like a new start in a new start. If you know what I mean. I guess I should not speak before the time comes.

We arrived at Laura's house around 6:07. It hadn't been as long as I'd thought it'd be. It wouldn't be too far to ride bikes over here. If May or I ever wanted, that is. We knocked on the door and was greeted with a plump nice looking lady.

"Hi there. Um... is Laura home?" asked Nelly. Ugh someone needs to show her how logic works.

"Yes. She told me to expect visitors. Please come in," she said. I guess this lady was her housekeeper. She had somewhat of a mexican accent.

We entered the house. The house was pretty big and beautiful. It looked almost like our's, but had exceptions.

"Laura is upstairs in her room getting ready. I'll tell her you're here," the housekeeper said.

"Here let me take that," she said as she took the pie from Nelly's hands and went into, what I was guessing, the kitchen. Just then Julia(and her dad?)entered the main room.

"Hello neighbors," said the man that looked like it was Julia and Leo's dad. "Come on in. Don't be shy."

"Hello," Reu says as they shake hands. Nelly shakes hands with him as well. He leads us into the dining room.
