1 MONTH BEFORE THE ATTACK AT SENJU
The 4 remaining enemies arrive at their hiding spot. They are located in a complex underground cave system between Kiso and Agarath. This cave system sits nearly perfectly between both villages, allowing them to be nearly undetectable since they're deep underground. It also helps that surrounding them are a bunch of trees and grass that hides their area comfortably. The four of them arrived to what looks like a meeting location. Oda was just being carried by a shadow. Once at their spot, the remaining members all got to one knee, and Oda was tossed aside. A shadowy figure appears before them.
"It took you five long enough to arrive. Disgraceful," spoke in a raspy voice the shadow man, "what about him? The big guy?"
"He, unfortunately got killed during battle my lord..." Kashimo said while holding his head down. There was a long pause. All four people on their knees were visually nervous. The shadow man finally broke the silence.
"Pathetic," said the shadow man in a low grumble, and then he continued, "I gift you 5 incredible powers. Far beyond anything imaginable. Strength and power that can help you keep up with the Uramakas, and you tell me one of you died? Are you trying to insult me!"
All four got even more nervous. This shadow man's voice alone was enough to shake the entire cave system they were inside of. Irya started talking next.
"It was the boy, we were told he was weak in comparison to his father. He was the weak link for a good part of the fight, but he just suddenly came out of no where. We were winning, we even backed up Hiruzen, but then-" Irya was speaking when the she was suddenly cut off.
"Then one of you just had to DIE," spoke the shadow man, "you're all disgraceful. I should kill each and every single one of you right now for being pathetic. That boy is weak. The father is older, weakening by the day. This task was in your favor. All you had to do was bring me the boy alive and you all FAILED! HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME LIKE THIS! Now give me a reason, why I shouldn't slice all your heads off right this instant," the shadow man continued as a blade covered in flames emerged from his arm. The fire hot enough to melt the stone below it and bright enough to light up the entire darkness of the cavern. Even the torches inside were nothing in comparison.
"My lord," spoke Yuta, "it's not because we were weak truth be told. If we're being honest, we were caught by surprise."
Everyone's face lit up, but the shadow man became intrigued.
"Is that so. Elaborate Yuta." spoke the shadow man.
"Yes my lord, you see, with the information we gathered from the bandits, we were led to believe that the newest member of the Uramakas was weak. We were also made believe that he is the first of many generations to be born without an ability, just like your own prophecy had predicted. That being said, we all walked into this fight believing we have to match Hiruzen's power, which may I add that in itself is a bit of a problem. He is arguably the strongest of that bloodline-"
"But not the strongest. Remember that young man!" spoke the shadow man angrily.
"Yes my lord. We know you are the strongest. So, we walked into this with low expectations and a quick sweep of the boy. However something g strange happened mid battle. The little one tried to achieve the same technique as his father, forcing his energy to its absolute limit. He was trying to shatter a barrier he hasn't even tasted. As you know, I'm the only one here who can actually sense nature energy, but those 5 seconds, I felt no energy at all. It all just vaporized. However, my other senses trembled. My own energy was shaken up too. It was almost as if there was an immense pressure against the entire planet. Even the energy within the forest itself was disrupted. Oda didn't die because he's weak, but he died because we underestimated them, especially the boy." Yuta replied in a very calm manner. The rest of the group stayed quiet. Kashimo was the most bothered by his comments because he can also sense energy. Kashimo just doesn't say anything about it so he doesn't deal with information gathering missions. After a brief silence, the shadow man spoke.
