After finding out I was pregnant, I thought that it would be the right decision to go to a doctor. I walked towards Jacob and told him, and we got in his car and drove down to the doctor's office.

Jacob sat beside me in his apartment in Seattle, his hand resting protectively on my belly, which wasn't showing yet. We had just gotten back from the doctor's office, where we'd confirmed what I already suspected—I was pregnant. It was only the first day of knowing, and everything felt surreal, but Jacob had this calm about him that kept me grounded.

"I still can't believe it," I said, my fingers lacing with his as I leaned my head against his shoulder. "We're going to be parents."

Jacob smiled softly, turning to kiss my forehead. "You're going to be an amazing mom," he said. "I can already tell."

I chuckled lightly. "I don't even know where to start, though. Do we start with baby stuff or wedding planning?"

He laughed, rubbing his thumb across my hand. "We'll do both. One step at a time. The baby's going to need things, and I want you to have the perfect wedding too. We can manage."I tilted my head up to look at him, his face warm with excitement. "You always make things sound so simple," I said, teasing him.

"With you, everything is simple," he replied, his voice filled with that steady confidence I loved so much. "We've got time."

"Jacob, I'm gonna go and tell my parents." I said crying happy tears, I'll be back soon. "Ok y/n, but let me drop you at least." I smiled and we got into his car.

After 20 minutes we arrived at my parents' house, just in time for lunch. I took a deep breath and rung the door bell. The door opened almost immediately with my mom smiling at us ear to ear, "I had a feeling you might drop by!"

We went inside, my parents had just started on lunch. My dad waved to me with a smile and a mouth full of food. He swallowed, "Welcome home kiddo!", "Mom, dad, there's something I want to tell you."

They looked at me a bit puzzled, "Sit." My mom gestured. She set us a plate of some rice pilaff and broiled chicken with potatoes. I smiled at took a bite. "So last night out of curiosity, I used one of my pregnancy tests, and it came back positive.", I saw their jaw drop a little bit.

My parents stared at me, their shocked expression quickly became a smile "Well that's great news honey, we finally get to be grandparents!" my mom exclaimed, "But y/n, there was a small issue with some of your stuff, could you just help me sort that out?"

I gulped and looked at Jacob, "Be strong." he mouthed, I went upstairs to my room and my dad followed me.

"So, its only been a week since you two have been engaged and you're already pregnant?" My dad said angrily, "And how are you going to raise the baby, did you plan for a nursery? Maternity wear? Y/n there are so many considerations and responsibilities that you will have now." my dad huffed, "Dad it's fine, I can take care of myself, I'm not a baby anymore." I responded

"But sweetie your father is right, taking care of a baby is a lot of work, are you sure you are ready for that?", "Yes mom, I can handle it, we can go to parenting classes or something its not a big deal."

"Not a big deal?!" My dad bellowed, "Y/n you are 18, you aren't even married yet and you already have a baby, think of what people will say!", "Dad I don't care about what people say, and I know that I'm not married but we have plans for a wedding soon.", "What about your plans for higher education? Are you going to toss all of that out of the window just for some guy?!", "Some guy, dad he's my fiance, my future HUSBAND, I've made my choice and all I wanted was for you guys to be accepting of it, I guess I hoped for too much." I shouted back.
