Hallucinations

I go to my locker and get my one-handled backpack. it was empty since I already returned my textbooks and took my binders home earlier in the week. It is the last day of school after all. Hi, my name is Natalie and my best friend is-

"NEON!!" Yelled a voice. That's Pyrrha, my best friend. My nickname is Neon. She is obsessed with anime and I have little knowledge on the topic. "Are you ready to watch anime at my place?!" I sighed and smiled at her.

"Yes. I don't know how you talked me into it, but I'm willing I give it a try" I say. Who knows? I might enjoy it. I take my red and black roller blades out of my locker, which was the last item in there. I strap them on and out my sneakers into my backpack.

"Your parents finally bought you skates, huh?" pointed out Pyrrha.

"Yerp. They have it as an early birthday present." When Pyrrha and I walk home, she skates with her roller blades and I have to run because SHE DOES NOT SLOW DOWN! We exit the school and start skating on the sidewalk towards her house. "Race ya!" And with that we are zooming at lightning speed. Well, I am. I train for speed-skating and, not to brag, but I can do some amazing stuff in these things. My vision flashes different random pictures. One after another. I stop to recover my thoughts and the pictures disappear. They were a rose, a snowflake, a flame, a flaming heart, two arched lines, a lightning hammer, a spear thing, and a lotus. I have no idea what these are. That was strange. A hand landed on my shoulder and I turn to see Pyrrha.

"Are we gonna continue this? You just randomly stopped."

"Hell ya!"

I collapse on Pyrrha's couch and put my head back. It was a tiring race. She comes from the kitchen with a can of Sprite and Dr. Pepper. She handed the red can to me. I popped open the can and took a long sip.

"Thanks." I say, exhausted.

"No problem." she responds as she plops herself next to me. "Ready to watch anime?" I sigh

"More ready than I'll ever be."

"I thought we could watch RWBY today since it your first time watching anime. It's not exactly good anime animation, but the plot is good."

"Ok let's see." Pyrrha goes to Netflix and goes into the anime section and scrolls down until she finds RWBY. She clicks it and goes to 'Volume One' and clicks that. All of a sudden, all the power in the house goes out. The TV gets all gray and blurry and makes the sound to go with it. It was the only light on in the house I grab into Pyrrha's arm an hide my face. I shiver and whimper. She hold onto me because she knows I watched horror films with my dad when I couldn't sleep when I was six and the stuff I saw still traumatized me. The TV turns white and becomes brighter. I curl up into a ball and I feel Pyrrha hug me tighter and hide her face in my hair. We both scream as it glows brighter and everything turns black.
