As Lena and Walker sat in the lecture hall, they looked distinctly out of place. Walker seemed as if he'd never attended a class in his life, wearing a constant look of bewilderment. His eyes darted from one person to another, like he was trying to decipher a foreign language. Lena, on the other hand, looked annoyed as ever—nothing out of the ordinary.Lena: *Psst!*
Walker: *What?*
Lena: *Can you stop looking like a lost puppy? Just stare at your books and pretend to write notes or something.*Walker: *You're the one who dragged me here. I didn't want to come to this human...*class.* Whatever that is.*
Lena shot him a look that said *'just try'* as the professor called the class to attention. Unfortunately for Walker, his odd demeanor must've caught the professor's eye.
Professor: Hmm you. The young man in all black, care to explain the theory of relativity to the class?*
Walker stared blankly, his expression flat. He opened his mouth, then closed it, clearly unsure what to say.
Walker: *Uh... it's... relative?*
The entire class burst into laughter, a few students actually pointing at him like they'd never heard anything so ridiculous. Walker's face went rigid, his eyes narrowing at the snickering crowd.
Lena leaned closer to him, whispering under her breath: *Wow, smooth answer there, Einstein.*
Walker: *What's wrong with these humans?* he muttered, irritation simmering in his voice. *Why do they find pleasure in other people's ignorance?*
Lena stifled a laugh. *It's called humor. And to be fair, that answer was pretty hilarious.*
Walker shot her an icy look, like he might actually get up and leave. *I don't find anything funny about this... this is torture.*
Lena: *You'd rather be out in the woods, snarling at deer?*
Walker: *Yes,* he said, without a hint of irony. *At least deer don't laugh at you for not knowing...*science.* and i thought this was accounting!
Lena: He only asked you that because you were staring at the garbage can. Told you look more focused
I started laughing lightly but
Walker didnt laugh though, he looked mad. He looked like his skinwalker self.Lena: Come on, just help me do this packet
Walker: How? I dont know any of this stuff!
Lena: Just read the articles and get the answers from it.
Walker rolled his eyes at me and took a packet , attempting to read it. He looked more confused than ever, almost like he wanted to rip the paper to shreds. I felt bad making him do the work, but Im literally letting him stay in my house for free.
Lena: All done?
Walker: um yeah
i took the packet from walker and saw that nearly every question had idk. Written on it
Lena: Really walker?
Walker: You never said i had to get everything right
He got up and nonchalantly walked away, like i was basically nothing
Lena: Walker! Wait!
Walker walked again without me and looking at the ground
Lena: Hey! You cant ignore me.. do you even know where youre going??
