"All done! How does it look?"
Glisten turns Toodles' chair to face the mirror ahead of her. To his enjoyment, Toodles let out an excited squeal. Her own way of giving people a stamp of approval.
"I love it, Glisten! I love it, I love it, I love it!" Toodles blurted out excitedly, jumping out of her chair and into his arms. "You're so awesome, Glisten! I love how you do makeup! You're so cool, Glisten!"
Glisten was a tad bit startled by Toodles jumping into his arms so suddenly, but he quickly warmed up to her touch and returned the embrace, patting her back. "It's nothing, really. I'd kill for you, y'know? You mean the world to me, Toodles. Remember that."
"Yay! Thank you, Papa- oh, I mean- thank you, Glisten!" Toodles stammered excitedly, slipping up on her words. It was a habit for her to see Glisten as a father figure since she grew up with him by her side. Toodles' birth parents were absent for almost her entire life, and everyone else thought she was just another ankle biter meant to cause problems and be annoying. Glisten was the only one that understood her; he was in her shoes at one point. It'd be devastating if they were to ever lose each other.
