I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. When I pulled it out, I saw it was a facetime call from my little sister. Ever since she got an iPad, it's all she ever does since she can't exactly spell being only 4. I clicked on the camera button to close the camera before answering.

"I'm at work, you know I can't be on the phone. Did you need something?" I asked her. She adjusted the iPad in her lap before holding up an envelope and speaking, "You have mail." My heart began to pound in chest. Was it my UA letter? Did I get in? Am I being rejected?

Soon I saw Jayden put his face in the camera, "It's from UA." I rolled my eyes as he made faces into the camera. "Can you put it in my sock drawer please? I have to go." I spoke quickly. When I saw him nod his head, I quickly hung up and got back to work.

I walked over to Ayah who was at the dressing rooms. We both worked at a clothing store and had almost the exact same schedule, I just worked more days than her. They fucked up hiring us two. It was like a big hangout sesh, every shift. Ayah, didn't have a quirk but she was really good at engineering and anything to do with technology so she applied to UA for the Support Course. She was really shy when it came to other people and was an automatic target for bullying. Not with me around, I have no problem beating the fuck out of someone for coming at her sideways.

"My letter just came from UA. I'm more nervous than I thought." I said as I approached the booth. I had a slightly worried look on my face which was different from my resting bitch face.

She beamed up at me, "My mom just texted me, that mines came too! I'm sure we both got in. How about we call tonight after work and open them together?" A small smile appeared on my face as I nodded my head.

For the remainder of our shift, we both talked about things we wanted to do once we started UA. Hers being to become a well trusted support tech. While mines was to further my training to become the best. I was pretty good with my quirk but I couldn't help be feel as if I could be better. After all, I can only train with it in secret and that's not enough.

When the clock hit 8, we grabbed our things and headed to my car. Yes, I have a car but mostly for the purpose of taking my siblings places and letting my mom use it when her car breaks down. As I drove to Ayah's house, I didn't turn on the radio because she isn't allowed to but instead we talked about random things that happened during our shift. It's become a routine at this point.

I took a deep breath before I opened the door to my house, knowing my mood would be changed as soon as I walked in.

Twisting the door open, I glanced around to see Myra's toys everywhere. I shut the door and quickly picked up her toys before heading to my room, throwing my bag near my door. My stomach felt uneasy as I noticed an open envelope on my bed with the letter just sitting there. Someone opened my UA letter before me..

A tear rolled down my cheek as I received a facetime call from Ayah. I answered it and didn't even bother to turn the camera off. "Omg, what's wrong Tori?" She immediately asked. Wiping the tear away, I finally spoke, "I think my mom opened my UA letter... it's on my bed, already opened."

I watched as Ayah frowned. I walked over to my bed and grabbed the letter, without looking at the words typed on it. "Shall we?" I finally spoke up. Ayah's expression softened as she opened the envelope and pulled out the folded piece of paper.

I counted down from three and we both looked at our letters. A smile crept onto my face while Ayah began squealing. We both had gotten into UA, me with the highest marks in the hero course. "I got the highest marks!" I said. She rolled her eyes before she spoke, "I don't doubt you did."
