Chapter 3

Amara's POV

It was only 7 o' clock and I was already getting ready for the dinner with Dario. He seemed like a very dangerous man but I wasn't going to question him because that was none of my business. I was just going on this dinner date and then it's done and I won't see him after this.

I decided to go light on the makeup since I didn't see the need to flush my face with any since it was only a little dinner. I had gotten my hair done after the encounter with Dario, so I had a sew in.

I slipped on my grey body con dress with my nude heels. I admired myself in my mirror loving how perfectly the dress stuck to my body like a second skin.

Breaking out of my trance after I heard the doorbell ring, I grabbed my purse and my phone and headed to the door. Opening the door Dario stood at the door in a crisp suit. He looked very handsome and his eyes stared down at me as if he wanted to rip my clothes off.

" Amara you look stunning tonight" he nodded his head and his deep voice sent a chill down my spine.

" um thanks you look handsome as well" I complimented him and slightly smiled.

"Well shall we?" He questioned his hand gesturing towards outside.

" yeah let me get my keys" I turned around and walked to the table and grabbed my keys putting it into my purse. I heard a grunt from the door and walked back over to the entrance.

" are you okay?" I asked him.

He cleared his throat nodding his head. We headed out the door and I locked it. He lead the way to his car opening the door for me. I thanked him sliding in the seat. Soon he was in the car and we were on our way to the restaurant he was taking me to.

We were seated in this fancy restaurant and I could do nothing but stare at the beautiful designs of the place. The waiter had set down menus a few seconds ago and looking at the prices I almost passed out.

They served dishes that was the cost of my damn rent. I looked up to see Dario staring at me already.

" is the food really worth the price they're charging" I asked in a nervous manner.

" don't worry I'm paying just order whatever you want" he said then continued staring at me in amusement.

I nodded my head as the waiter came over taking our orders.

" can I have the chicken Alfredo please" I told the waiter my order.

" yes ma'am and you sir" he asked Dario.

" I'll have the steak dinner" he said his eyes still on me.

After that the waiter took our menu and walked off. I took my glass of white wine and took a big sip.

" you know it's rude to stare at people" I said feeling a little self conscious from his gaze.

"My apologies, you're just very beautiful" he said with a smirk.

" so what do you do for a living?" He asked trying to change the subject.

" well I'm a college student by day and exotic dancer by night" I said and then sighed taking another sip.

" what are you in college for?" He asked another question not breaking eye contact.

" I want to be a neonatal nurse" I replied with a tight lipped smile.

He nodded his head acknowledging what I said.

" what about you, what's your occupation?" I questioned him tilting my head.

"I own a business" he shortly replied as his eyes squinted a lil.

I nodded my head but sat up as soon as the waiter sat the plate of food in front of me. I almost moaned at the smell of the food. I thanked the waiter and wasted no time grabbing my fork and digging in.

As soon as the food touched my tongue I fell in love. I did a lil dance satisfied with the taste. I looked up and I almost forgot he was right in front of me.

"It must be delicious" he said in a teasing tone. I blushed right then and there feeling a little embarrassed.

I continued with my meal having a little conversation slightly getting to know the quiet strange man until my plate was clean.

We arrived back at my apartment as he opened the door for me and I stepped out. We walked up to my door and I turned around and look up at the tall man.

" thank you for dinner I enjoyed the meal" I said smiling towards the quiet man.

" it's my pleasure and thank you again for last night" he said nodding his head.

" well goodnight" I said nodding my head and turning to unlock my door.

He nodded his head with no reply leaving as I headed into my apartment closing and locking my door.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and threw my key on the table heading to the bathroom to take my makeup off and washed my face.

I grabbed my scarf and bonnet for my hair and took my dress off and placed my heels on my shoe rack. After I took my shower I didn't even bother putting on pajamas but underwear and headed straight to sleep.

I woke up with a headache and a ringing phone.

" hello" I answered in a sleepy voice.

" just to let you know we're short staffed on the bar so I need you to work that shift tonight" my manager said hanging up immediately after.

"Asshole" I said sighing.

I got out of bed getting ready for another day of life. On my way to school I ran into Gianna making small talk with her. Well I was just replying while she talked.

" you know I think we should go out tomorrow night" she said and I just nodded my head not really paying attention still half asleep.

She squealed which made me jump a little in my seat .

" okay class let's get started" everyone got quiet as the professor started.

We were now at the diner as promised yesterday. I ordered the same thing yesterday and Gianna as well.

" I'm honestly considered stripping to be honest my job isn't going so well" she told with her head in her hands.

" it does pay well but I don't think it would be the job for you girl" I told her and she sighed.

"I knew it" she said pouting.

I looked out the window seeing a familiar Car.

The waiter placed our meals down and we dug in.
