In this book are some of my most vivid dreams from the last few years. There are many I wish I could remember, many I wish I could live once more, and many I wish I would never see again. Nevertheless, it has served as a gateway to better understand my depth as a human. We greatly underestimate the value of our dreams and what our inner self wishes to say. I believe at a certain point we carry a piece of consciousness that is separated from us, and the only way to communicate is through dreams. With this, I have taken the chance to dig between the lines and understand the symbolism within most, if not all, of the vivid imagery I remember seeing. Those late nights waking up disoriented, attempting to record a fresh dream, have steadily borne fruit to what you see here. In between the dreams, I have also taken the time to add short stories, born of my own creation.

As life tends to be, we lack control of our dreams. These, at times, vary in every aspect of our lives. As such, they seem scattered, random, devoid of order. Regardless, they carry meaning, and it is in our best interest to understand them. The dragonfly resembles change; just as their bodies undergo a metamorphosis, so do our thoughts and needs. Their short lives are also a great representation of a dream, matching its short-lived experience within our subconscious. Dragonflies have exceptional vision as well, which can manifest itself as the ability to see through illusions. Such is our task when interpreting our vivid dreams. Their gracefulness in flight, as well as their representation of spirituality, only adds to the gracefulness of their representation in this book. Some consider them spiritual guides, as many find themselves in the pursuit of wants and dreams for their life.

So, you see, whether it be a story born of your creativity or a dream you wish to remember fondly or fearfully, remember to be as graceful, as fluid, spiritual, and understanding as the dragonfly. It might be a rough ride, but I plead with you sincerely and truthfully: indulge your dreams and thoughts, reach towards them, and take flight.
