"Where are we going?" Zhang Hao asks Hanbin once they've been walking for a few minutes, but he still has no idea."To get ice cream, of course." Hanbin tells him. "Personally, that always cheers me up."
"Oh yeah, I see it." Zhang Hao points. "I hadn't been here in a while."
"We can order our ice cream and then sit down on a bench."
"Sounds good." Zhang Hao nods.
The ice cream shop doesn't have as many people at the moment, so getting their ice cream doesn't take too long. Once they have their ice cream cones, they sit outside on a bench.
"I'm sorry about earlier." Zhang Hao says after a while of silence. "I wouldn't have wanted anyone to see me like that."
"Does that happen often?"
"Probably every other day." Zhang Hao admits. "I try to avoid looking at myself. I'm never really happy with how I look. I could change my hairstyle or my clothes, but there's always something in the mirror that looks wrong." He looks down. "Sorry... I don't know why I'm telling you this. It's stupid."
"What? Why shouldn't you?" Hanbin asks, confused. "I know our relationship is fake, but I thought you considered me a friend. I thought we were friends now."
"Yeah... you're right." Zhang Hao nods. "Sorry."
"Don't apologize." Hanbin frowns. "You really have nothing to apologize for. Having insecurities is not stupid. We all have them."
"Yeah, but not everyone breaks down into tears in front of others." He stands up. "Could we go the library? I should really study for math."
-
"Looks like you're starting to understand a little better." Hanbin tells Zhang Hao. "You still got some wrong, but you also got some right."
"Wow, really?" Zhang Hao smiles and takes the paper from him, but his smile fades when he sees it. "I only got two out of ten right. You call this 'me understanding more'? I'm so dumb." He frowns.
"It's only been a few days since I started tutoring you, Zhang Hao. You're not going to be the best immediately."
"Do you really think I can get better at it? There's less than three weeks left until the exams."
"I can assure you I'm a really good tutor. Do you doubt my tutoring skills?"
"Well, no... I shouldn't." Zhang Hao shakes his head. "You're in the top 2 of the school, so no."
"Okay, come on. Let's continue for a few more minutes and then we can go."
"Okay." Zhang Hao agrees and he tries to solve some of the questions he got wrong.
-
"Didn't you have to go to work?" Zhang Hao asks him as Hanbin's walking him home.
"I won't be working until Sunday." Hanbin tells him. "I had the day off today and I had to ask for the day off tomorrow."
"What? Why? Are you going somewhere?"
"Did you forget?" Hanbin raises an eyebrow. "Gunwook's party?"
"Oh, right!" Zhang Hao nods. With everything that had happened today, he had forgotten about that. "I don't even want to go anymore."
"Come on... you were the one who wanted to go." Hanbin tells him. "I even asked for the day off. Let's go to the party. It might be a good distraction."
