Tierra's POV
"Thanks Mom. Yeah, I'll be fine. It's only a few weeks. Don't worry about me." I sighed as she kept rambling over the phone while I picked my way around my motorcycle, and grabbed my basket, while slinging my favorite backpack over my shoulder."Honey, you have to be careful. There are those...like your father was...they live there-"
I growled a warning. "You mean like me? Stop talking about him like that, Mom!"
"I'm sorry, Tierra. I can't...You don't know what he did to me-"
"Mom. I'm going. Bye." I rolled my eyes and hung up the phone. Owls hooted as the evening arrived. I shivered as I peered into the dark forest. Wrapping my red cloak around me, I began to make my way through the thicket. The wind rustled the trees as the darkness grew profound. Soon, I looked back and the trees had closed in behind me - I could no longer see my motorcycle.
I spun around as I felt the presence of another. They were watching me. I took off running, my wolf on high alert.
The path to my grandmother's house was barely visible on the ground, and I didn't realize I had strayed from it until I came to a stream.Grumbling, I made my way back to the path. A gust of wind blew my cloak off and I jumped to catch it. I shivered again as I turned back to the path. It was dark now and the forest seemed eerier still.
And out of the darkness, 2 eyes blinked and a long snout edged into the small patch of moonlight in front of me.

Ona's POV
I crept from the hiding place as I sniffed the girl. This was the edge of our territory - what was she doing here? More importantly, who is she? She seemed afraid of me, even though I could smell the wolf in her. She didn't smell rogue though.Alpha, we have a trespasser.
A few seconds later, he responded. Keep it busy, Inke will be there shortly.
Yes, Alpha.
He shut the mind link as I returned my attention to the girl. She had shifted. What once was a girl with brown hair, now was a red wolf.
I reached out to her. My name is Ona - I'm from the Greylings Moon Pack. What's your name?
The girl only snarled back at me and gave no indication of understanding me.
We circled each other, and she growled menacingly. I growled back, but my wolf shirked a little seeing as she was twice the size of me and obviously more powerful. I was a small wolf - but I was only 16.
She lunged for me and I side stepped, turning around to face her. She had already taken off running past me into deeper forest. I groaned inwardly.
She's running towards the deeper forest, Alpha.
Ona! You had one job, Ona!
I'm sorry, Alpha. My wolf whimpered in my head at the thought we had angered our Alpha. From far off, I heard the call. My Alpha's call.
I froze just as her tail disappeared into the brush.
"Owoooooo!" I let my wolf answer her Alpha as I heard the rest of my pack members answer the call. The hunters were coming.
I could feel the shift as the rumble of Wolves' paws against the ground filled the forest. It was silent and yet loud. They began the hunt. I waited until they burst through the bushes toward me, streaks of many colors of wolves running past. They kept in formation, and I fell in behind them - out of place. I wasn't a hunter, but I was fast.
My brother mind linked me. Ona, what did she look like?
Red. Dark red, I think. Large too.
