Family isn't Just a Word

Injury

The first time Guren had seen Yu, was when the poor boy crawled out from the tunnel right into the snow. Not to mention there was blood all over the scrawny raven haired boy.
It made Guren scared for the captives. What happened in those vampire cities? From what little info he had gotten, the children were treated fairly well, considering they were treated as livestock to the vampires.
What had shocked him was when the boy had tears streaming down his face, and hugged Guren. Guren was so surprised that he fell over, yet the boy still hugged him tightly.
"I'll do whatever it takes.." The boy whispered, and Guren heard how broken the child was. He patted his head, and after the boy sobbed long enough, Guren helped them both up, and smiled at the kid.
"Well I'm going to train you then." He said, and led the boy back to the school, where he'd keep him for now.
He set up a room for the child. He didn't hear the kid talk much though. He just watched him with his vibrant green eyes. How rare. Although, Guren couldn't say that when he himself has purple eyes.
He led him to the bathroom, and peeled off his wet, bloody shirt. He seemed fine enough, but he knew the injuries weren't visible. They were deep within himself. So he hugged the boy awkwardly. Yu stiffened, but finally relaxed into the hug, sobbing quietly.
"I-I lost them all.. My family.." The boy quietly whispered. I looked down at him, and tsked quietly. Vampires. Ruthless, disgusting creatures.
He leaned down and wiped the tears from his eyes.
"It's okay. I'll give you the chance to slay all their kind." Guren smiled at the boy who looked up, and almost immediately a new look covered his somber look. It was dark, but strong. Some might be terrified of this look, but Guren was only pleased.
'Seraph huh..' He thought with interest as he helped the boy change into new clothes, and shed the livestock clothes.
"Can you burn those?" Yu asked as he glared daggers at the clothes that Guren grabbed. Guren rose an eyebrow, but knew that if he didn't, then Yu would somehow find them and do it himself. It practically screamed that at his face, by the way Yu glared holes into the clothes.
Guren went and put them into his own room, before he came back to see the boy once again in a sorry state. He was sitting on his bed, staring at the ground, looking quite lost. Guren walked over and pulled up a chair.
"Look, Yu. You have the right to hurt for now, but I need you to be a strong soldier for my army. I'm willing to train you, but I need to know if you're going to be commited." Guren watched the boy closely. He stared at the floor a while longer, before he looked up at the commander with a green fire lit in his eyes.
"I'll do it. Anything to avenge my family." He spat, and Guren huffed.
"Fine. You start in a couple of days. Be prepared because I'm not going to go easy." He said, and made to leave. A small hand that pulled on his sleeve stopped him though.
"Will I ever have another family?" He asked quietly, and Guren blinked in surprise. They both stayed silent, and Yu was about to withdrawal and go to sleep, when Guren rested a hand on his head and rubbed him softly.
"You already do, kid."
Without another word, Guren left the room, leaving a shocked Yu all alone in his dark room.
WOO FIRST CHAPTER OF THE "Family isn't Just a Word." I hoped you all enjoyed because Guren and Yu are amazing creatures xD I'm seriously shocked that there aren't many fanfics on these two. But remember everyone, I'm not making a pairing out of these two. So if you're looking for that, you've come to the wrong place. But these chapters might be a little short and delayed and I'm sorry if they are! I'll try to keep up with it but I'm writing fanfics on other accounts and stuff and oer websites ;-; anyway, thanks for reading and please leave a review! This chapter was with Yu being 12 right after he left the vampire city, but the next chapter might have him as a 15 yr old and then after that chapter it might have him back to 12 WHO KNOWS I'M PLAYING AROUND WITH THIS FANFIC.
