𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀

it's a bab...ies

Lisa's first ultrasound comes when she is almost five months pregnant. She lays on the bed, shirt pushed up to reveal her belly, while Jennie sits beside her, holding her hand. Jennie leans forward and peppers kisses all over Lisa's bare stomach, causing the younger girl to giggle.

"I can't wait to meet you my beautiful baby. I already love you so much and you're not even here yet."

Lisa swoons at Jennie's words to the baby, her heart full with love. It was a long two years, trying and failing to get pregnant, but by some miracle it happened. They were having a baby.

"Okay how about giving me some love." Lisa face contorts in to a pout.

"Lisa, I gave you so much love it got you pregnant. Do you honestly need more?" Jennie teases as she rests her head on Lisa's belly, nuzzling her skin.

"I always need more love." Lisa says as she puckers her lips. As Jennie goes to move to kiss Lisa's lips, she feels a slight pressure against the side of her head. Confused, she looks to Lisa, whose face is brimming with utter happiness, her lips parted in shock. By seeing her wife's reaction, Jennie realizes what just happened.

"Did… Did the baby just kick?" Jennie asks, and Lisa nods in confirmation, smiling brightly.

"I've never been happier than I am right now." Jennie says with a smile just as bright as she leans forward to kiss Lisa fully. "We made a baby." Jennie says as if it's still not real, and she'll wake up tomorrow with a very less pregnant wife beside her. But this is very much real and Lisa is very much pregnant. At that moment the OB/GYN comes into the room.

"So Lisa you are roughly 18 weeks pregnant. Are you two ladies ready to see your baby?" She asks as she rubs the gel onto Lisa's stomach.

"More than anything." Lisa says with an airy tone. There is some crackling from the monitors and some fuzziness, but they can just make out something on the screen. Their eyes are wide in amazement; however, the smiles on their face falter when the doctor speaks again.

"Huh, would you look at that." The doctor says, causing Lisa and Jennie panic.

"Look at what, what's wrong?" Jennie is quick to ask and the doctor just chuckles with a shake of her head.

"Nothing. It just seems that your baby, is really babies. Two boys."

"Twins?" Jennie asks, her voice skeptical, waiting for the doctor to say she's kidding. But the punchline never comes because she soon hears the telltale sign of two heartbeats coming from the monitor. They both gasp in disbelief.

"Can you believe this? Two years of failing to get pregnant, and now we get two babies?" Lisa says as she doesn't fight the tears that are flowing, squeezing Jennie's hand lovingly.

"Looks like we need to put 'times two' on all the baby shower lists." Jennie jokes as she brings her wife's hand up to her mouth to press a kiss against her knuckles.

"Okay Lisa, I'd say give yourself another six weeks until you take your leave since you're having twins. If you have any complications don't hesitate to come back in, if not I will see you for the birth of your baby boys." She says with a bright smile.

The OB/GYN cleans off Lisa's stomach and leaves to print out the picture of their babies, giving the couple time to themselves. Jennie helps Lisa stand from the bed and places a comforting hand on her enlarged stomach. She leans forward and kisses her wife sweetly

"Can you believe it? Two babies!" Lisa exclaims.

"If we have anymore we're going to need to move." Jennie adds with a chuckle.
