Killian's pov:

As the waves of pleasure began to recede, I lay there, panting, my heart racing. A whirlwind of emotions surged through me, a potent mix of satisfaction and confusion. I felt untethered, adrift in the aftermath of what had just happened. What the hell just happened?

Kieran pulled away, a sly smile playing on her lips as she wiped the corners of her mouth, the playful glint in her eyes contrasting sharply with the intensity of what we had just shared.

oh my fucking bloody goodness... that was intense and sexy...

There was a moment where I could only stare at her, my mind struggling to catch up with reality. I was left breathless, and I felt exposed in a way I hadn’t in a long time.

“Did you enjoy that?” she teased, her voice light, but there was an underlying edge to it, a challenge, a dare. My body still thrummed with residual heat, the memory of her touch lingering, and I couldn’t help but smirk back at her.

“Enjoy?” I echoed, trying to find the words. “That’s an understatement. fucked what on earth...”

But as I caught my breath, reality crashed back down around me like a cold bucket of water. What did this mean?

I'm planning to spend my distance, setting boundaries, convincing myself that I couldn't allow anyone in.

And now? Now, I was tangled up in this moment with her, caught between pleasure and a million questions I didn’t know how to answer.

“Are you okay?” Kieran’s tone shifted, a hint of concern lacing her words. The playful edge faded as she watched me, her eyes searching mine for answers. I could see the sincerity in her gaze, the worry that perhaps I wasn’t ready for what had just happened.

“Yeah, I just…” I hesitated, the words stuck in my throat. “I didn’t expect that to happen. I mean, I didn’t think we’d cross that line.”

Her expression softened, and for a moment, I felt the weight of everything hanging in the air between us.

“I didn’t mean to overstep. I just wanted you to feel good,” she admitted, her voice quiet.

“But I get it if you want to forget it.”

Forget it? The thought felt impossible. The connection we shared, this heated moment, was more than just physical. It was a shift, a crack in the walls I’d built around myself. The idea of dismissing it felt like a betrayal of everything I had just experienced with her.

“No, I don’t want to forget,” I said finally, my voice firm. “I just… need time to figure out what this means for us.”

She nodded slowly, the weight of my words settling between us. “I get it. This changes things.”

“Yeah, it does.” I sat up, the sheets slipping away, and for a moment, I let the silence stretch between us. “What do you want, Kieran?”

Her gaze held mine, unwavering. “I want to explore this, to see where it goes. But only if you do too.”
