Lessie happily skipped across the stairs, almost stumbling as they moved, but she seemed to care less.

She was in a hurry to reach the owlery to send her parents a letter.

She'd been waiting for the summer holiday for ages, and now that it was finally here, she couldn't be patient.

" Careful!" Someone called after her watching her leap so fast and she waved her hand dismissively, stating she was fine.

" Eager to go home?" A soft masculine voice had her halt on spot and she lifted her head up to look at the six foot tall, scarred yet one of the most gorgeous boys Lessie had ever seen, Remus Lupin.

He smiled down at her and she beamed back with a wider smile.

" Yes! My cousin goes to Ilvermony and has her holidays earlier than we do, so she's already home, she's sent me so many letters till now, my brothers have also sent me letters—howlers actually, simply to annoy me, brothers can be such a pain in the ass at times...." she trailed off, realising she'd been blabbering and he chuckled.

" I talk a lot I'm sorry." She murmured with a sheepish grin and he shook his head, tighening his hold on the books to prevent them from falling.

" That's not a bad thing. Don't worry. I'm sure you'd get a guy who loves listening to you."

" Like Sirius did!" James Potter showed up out of nowhere, nodding his head, still half invisible and Remus' cheeks heated up.

" Is that an invisibility cloak?" She asked and he nodded again.

" It is! Would you like to try it on?" He asked as he took it off, offering it to her but as a rat and dog showed up behind him, her attention was diverted, her eyes widening in delight as she knelt to pet the black dog, a rather adorable one.

" Padfoot no!" Remus hissed as the dog gave a lick on her cheek, elicting a giggle.

She waved her hand in dismissal.

" T'is okay, I love dogs!"

" This one's a brat." Remus shook his head and Padfoot turned towards his supposed owner, letting out a low growl.

" He doesn't look like one." Lessie frowned, as she continued patting him absentmindedly, watching someone awfully familiar pass by.

Remus retorted with something she didn't hear, and she stood up out of the blue, he and James blinked, taken aback.

" Is everything alright?"
