Lina’s family knew about her "little crush," but they didn’t know the depth of it. She started buying Everstar merchandise, even attending a few concerts (dragging her unwilling daughter along as an excuse). Her friends laughed at her, calling her "the cool mom."
"Come on, Lina, you know you’re married, right?" her best friend Mia teased.
"He’s probably dating some model or actress, and you’re over here daydreaming."
"Shut up," Lina would retort, laughing it off. "It’s just a harmless crush."
But the daydreams kept coming. Lina imagined meeting Ji-hoon, talking to him about life, exchanging wisdom like they were old friends. She even started writing fanfiction—only for herself, of course.
It wasn’t until a routine medical conference in South Korea that Lina’s fantasy world came crashing into reality. A sudden string of emergencies left the hospital short-staffed, and Lina was offered a chance to attend an international medical seminar in Seoul. She couldn’t believe her luck.
"Are you going to meet your dream man?" Mia joked, handing Lina a travel guide.
"Try not to faint if you run into him."
Lina laughed it off, but inside, her heart pounded. Seoul was a big city. There was no chance she'd actually meet Ji-hoon.
Right?
