This story begins in a cave, where a chair was in front of a fireplace, with what looked like an elderly Demon Dragon sitting in it. The Demon Dragon in question was Boney 10 (voiced by Mel Brooks), a friendly Demon dragon that was holding a book with the title, 'Bunnicula' on it. Boney 10: "Hello fellow readers, it's me, Boney 10, now I'm sure you're all wondering what story I shall read you all today... well this story is about a vampire in love with a girl, and it's not just any vampire... but a vampire that's also a rabbit named Bunnicula... now let's begin." said Boney 10, before he opens up the book and begins the story. Somewhere in New Orleans, there was a food processing plant, which was having some accidents caused by some unknown sources, so it was closed until further notice, which was bad as it was the town's main source of employment. As the sun began to set down, and clouds were blocking it's light, one employe, name Arthur Monroe (voiced by Chris Kattan), who lost his wife in a car accident a year ago, and moved to New Orleans for a new life, was walking up a hill when he sees his red haired teenage daughter, Mina Monroe (voiced by Kari Wahlgren), waving her hand. Mina: "Hi dad, coming home early?" Arthur: "Actually... with all the mysterious accidents happening, the plant is closed down." Mina: "But don't you need it open for work?" Arthur: "Yes... so until I find myself a new job, we'll have to be careful on how much money we spend." said Arthur, before he sees a dog that was probably a mix breed or a breed of herding dog, a Siamese cat, and a female rabbit with a fake tomato necklace. The dog was Harold (voiced by Brian Kimmet), the cat was Chester (voiced by Sean Astin), and the rabbit was Veronica (voiced by Abby Trott), and all three of them were Mina's pets. Mina: "I hope that... we can still keep them..." Arthur: "Don't worry sweetheart, I won't take them away just because I got no job at the moment, I mean they're like family to me too." this made Mina smile, before she went to give her father a big hug, which he returned to his only child. The sight of this heartwarming moment made Veronica and Chester shed a tear a little, before noticing that Harold was busy digging a hole next to a tree. Chester: "Harold, can't you go through one day without digging for bones?" Harold: "What?, I'm a dog, and dogs like to dig." Veronica: "We rabbits darn tooting love digging too." Chester: "Ugh..." said Chester while placing his paw on his face, before Harold stopped digging when his paws hit something. Harold: "Ooh, I found something!" said Harold, before he managed to dig the unknown object out, which was a box that was the same size as the rabbit girl. suddenly, the box begins to open up, revealing what looked like a rabbit that was colored black and white, sleeping inside. Veronica: "It's another rabbit like me..." Chester: "What the... what's a rabbit doing in a box?, let alone sleeping in it?" Harold: "Maybe he was taking a dirt nap, get it?, ha!" this made both Chester and Veronica groan in annoyance by the bad joke Harold just made. That was when Mina and Arthur came up to the pets. Mina: "Aww... look at the little guy~, he's so cute~!" Arthur: "Yeah, he kin of does... but why is he in a box?" Mina: "Beats me... hey... there's a name on the box." said Mina, before taking a closer look on the word that's on the box's lid, which said 'Bunnicula'. Mina: "Hmm... Bunnicula... that must be the little rabbit's name." Arthur: "Bunnicula?, that sounds a little like Dracula." Mina: "Yeah, in a cute way, can we keep him?" Arthur: "I don't know... with me having no job and all... I don't know if we'll be able to get enough foo for him... but if you promise me that you'll take good care of him like you do with Chester, Harold and Veronica..." Mina: "Oh I promise dad, I won't let you down." Arthur: "Well... alright, now we better get to the store before it closes for the night." said Arthur, before he and the pets walked down the hill, with Mina carrying the box that had Bunnicula inside. As soon as daylight was gone, the Monroe family went to the store to buy some vegetables for the rabbits. Meanwhile, Chester was pacing back and forth, feeling a little worried. Harold: "What's wrong Chester?" Veronica: "If it's about Mina's dad not having a job at the moment, don't cha worry, he'll get a job quicker than a speeding roadrunner." Chester: "It's not that... it's that rabbit Harold found... isn't it a little strange that a rabbit would be sleeping in a box underground, and having a name that's similar to Dracula?, I mean he could have been his pet." Veronica: "Don't be silly, he couldn't have anything to do with Dracula." Harold: "And besides, wasn't Dracula a vampire from long ago in Transylvania?" Chester: "Yes, and didn't you noticed that he got fangs." Harold: "So do you and I, along with Veronica." Chester: "But his fangs were not the kind a rabbit would have, more like the kind a vampire would." Veronica: "Are you sure about that?" Chester: "Well check it out for yourself." said Chester, before Harold went to open the box, and gasped in shock. Harold: "Oh no!" Chester: "What?!, was I right?!" Harold: "No!, he's gone!" Veronica: "What?!" sai Veronica in shock, before she and Chester went to check the box themselves, and see that Bunnicula was not there. Chester: "Oh no!, he must have wondered off!" Veronica: "Where could he be?!" Harold: "There he is!" said Harold, pointing at the hopping Bunnicula, heading for the store. Veronica: "We gotta get him!" Chester: "But we can't go in there, no pets are allowed!" Harold: "That doesn't seem to be stopping him." Veronica: "We just got to get him before someone sees him or us." said Veronica, before she hops out of the car and went after Bunnicula, with Harold and a reluctant Chester behind her. While looking for Bunnicula, the pets were doing their best to keep themselves out of sight of the humans in the store. It wasn't long before the trio see Bunnicula taking a tomato from a box of tomatoes, and then the rabbit takes a bit on it with his fangs, and begins to drain all the juice out of it. The sight made Chester really scared as it was like the sight of a vampire draining the blood from it's victim, Harold thought it was kin of cool, while Veronica was a bit scared too, not as much as Chester but still scared. It wasn't long before Bunnicula looked around to see if there were other veggies to feed on, when he spotted the sight of Veronica, which made him froze up and dropped the tomato from his paws. After a moment of silence, Bunnicula's eyes turned into hearts while blushing a little, before the little rabbit turned into a bat to fly down in front of the female rabbit, and then changed back to get a closer look. But what he saw was Veronica looking very scared and tried to back away a bit, which confused him at first. Bunnicula (voiced by Chris Kattan), tried to speak a little. Bunnicula: "H-h-hi... me Bunnicula... name?" Veronica: "Uh... my name?" Bunnicula: "Uh huh." said Bunnicula with a nod. Veronica: "It's... Veronica..." Bunnicula: "Pretty name... Bunnicula love name." Veronica: "Well... thank you... I guess..." Chester: "Uh... what's going on?" asked Chester in confusion with how Bunnicula is acting around Veronica, while Harold chuckled as he can tell what was going on. Harold: "Isn't it obvious?, Bunnicula has fallen in love with Veronica." Chester: "What?!, Veronica run, he'll try to drink your blood!" shouted Chester, which made Veronica even more scared, while Bunnicula turned all white and fainted by hearing the word 'blood', much to the pets' confusion. Harold: "Oh no!, we killed him!" Chester: "First of all, we didn't do anything, and second, he can't really die as vampires are immortal." Harold: "But what if he's not a vampire?" Chester: "Are you kidding?!, we just saw got turned into a bat and back to being a rabbit before our very eyes!" Veronica: "Vampire or not, we can't leave him here, Mina will get worried and all that." said Veronica, before she grabs Bunnicula's feet and dragged him away from the store, with Chester and Harold following behind. As soon as the Monroe family got back home, without knowing what happened in the store with the pets, they were placing Bunnicula's box on a table and putting the food into the fridge. The pets were watching the box that Bunnicula was inside, just to make sure he does not wonder off again. Mina: "Well dad, see ya in the morning." Arthur: "Yeah, let's hope things will get better soon." Mina: "I don't know, today wasn't a total lost, I mean we got Bunnicula." Arthur: "Maybe... night." Mina: "Night dad, and goodnight to you guys too." said Mina to her father and her pets, before going to bed herself, and turning off the lights. A full hour later, Veronica was having a hard time sleeping, as she was having dreams of Bunnicula in his bat form, chasing her and getting ready to take a bite on her, which forced her to wake up in fright. That was when when Bunnicula finally woke up and got out of his box, before hopping down to the floor and began searching for something to eat. Veronica saw some light in the kitchen, which made her a little nervous as it couldn't be Mina or her father as they wouldn't be down to the kitchen in such hour, which was 3:00 AM. So she slowly went to the kitchen, unaware that Chester and Harold were right behind her, wondering what the light was too. It wasn't long before they see the light was coming from the fridge, as it was opened by Bunnicula, who was his fangs to suck the juice from a carrot. As the vampire rabbit's ears twitched a bit, Bunnicula turned around and saw Veronica, who was scared due to being spotted. Happy to see Veronica again, Bunnicula hopped over to her, while the female rabbit was too scared to move and Chester let out a scream that spooked her. Harold: "Wow Chester, you scream like a girl." Chester: "I do not!, and even if I did, it's only because there's a vampire about to drink my blood!" once he heard that word, Bunnicula turned all white and fainted to the floor, much to the others confusion and concern. Harold: "Huh... why does he keep fainting like that?" asked Harold to himself, while Veronica used her paw to rub Bunnicula's nose, before the vampire rabbit finally woke up and got scared by the sight of Harold, and tried to hide behind Veronica. Bunnicula: "Wolf!... wolf!" Veronica: "Huh?, you mean Harold?, he's not a wolf, he's a dog." Harold: "Yup, a mix breed or some breed of a herding dog." Chester: "What are you scared about?, you're a vampire." Bunnicula: "Wolves scare Bunnicula... as wolves hunt rabbits... and werewolves hunt vampires..." Harold: "Oh... that makes sense." Veronica: "Well don't worry, Harold is a good dog, he wouldn't hurt anyone, nor would Chester here." Chester: "As long as you don't suck the b-" Bunnicula: "Please don't say 'b' word!, Bunnicula scared of it!" Chester: "Wait a minute... you telling me... you're a vampire that doesn't drink b-" Harold: "Chester!, didn't you hear him?, don't say the 'b' word, wait... what is the 'b' word?" Bunnicula: "Uh... Bunnicula hate the word Blood." then Bunnicula turned white and fainted to the ground. Chester: "Seriously?, even he can't say it without fainting?, what kind of vampire is he?" Harold: "The cute and scared kind obviously, poor little guy." Harold took out a carrot from the fridge, before placing it above Bunnicula's nose, which woke the bunny up. Chester: "I don't get it, you're a vampire, but you faint by the sight or hearing the word..." Bunnicula: "Please!... don't say it... Bunnicula always scared of it... Bunnicula hate being vampire... but Bunnicula didn't had choice..." Veronica: "What do you mean?" Bunnicula: "Vampire man took Bunnicula, bite Bunnicula and gave name to Bunnicula..." Chester: "This vampire man... was it Dracula?" Bunnicula: "Uh huh... Bunnicula saw Vampire man attack human... it still gives Bunnicula nightmares... Bunnicula flew away to get away from vampire man... and found box so big yellow circle won't kill Bunnicula..." Harold: "Big yellow circle?" Veronica: "I think he means the sun." Chester: "Oh yeah, Vampires can't survive in daylight, so they would only come out at night." said Chester, which made Bunnicula nod his head, before some tears started to come out of his eyes. Bunnicula: "Not only that... Bunnicula don't have momma... Bunnicula want momma..." said Bunnicula in more tears, and Veronica couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor vampire, so she wraps her arms around Bunnicula's neck and gave him a hug, which made the vampire rabbit blush bright red. Veronica: "It's okay... I know how you feel... I lost my parents when I was little too, but I managed to get a new family when Mina and her father adopted me." Harold: "Same thing happened to me and Chester, so we know how it feels to be an orphan..." said Harold, before he joins in the hug. Chester was still scared of Bunnicula, but he also felt sorry for him too, so with no other choice, he joins in the hug. Once the hug was over, Veronica looks Bunnicula in the eyes, which made him blush even more. Veronica: "Okay... so you're a vampire that does not drink... uh... the 'b' word, what do you feed on?" Bunnicula: "Veggie juice, from veggies, like any rabbit do, Bunnicula love veggie juice, like carrot or tomato." Veronica: "I see... well that's a relief... but you should probably get back to your box, the night time is sleep time for us." Bunnicula: "But Bunnicula can't go in day, big yellow circle be out, and Bunnicula get lonely when up alone..." Veronica: "Oh... well tell you what, how about you sleep with me until the big yellow circle comes out, okay?" Bunnicula: "Uh... okay... Bunnicula like that very much." said Bunnicula, before he went to Veronica's bed with Veronica, who was doing her best to make the vampire rabbit feel comfortable. Chester and Harold were watching the whole thing, and they starting to feel less scared of Bunnicula now. Harold: "See Chester, Bunnicula's not all that bad after all." Chester: "Yeah... but still... I'm worried about what would happened if other people, like Mina or her da find out about this." Harold: "What do you mean?" Chester: "Well you know humans get freaked out by monsters... and you seen what happens to the monsters in those horror movies right?" it took a moment for Harold to realize what Chester meant, and he started to feel worried again, but this time for Bunnicula's safety. Harold: "Oh... I see your point now... we can't let anyone know about this..." Chester: "Yeah, for the little guy's sake more than ours..." said Chester, before he and Harold went back to bed. When morning came, Mina and her father went down to get some breakfast, only to find some carrots and tomatoes were dry and all white. Mina: "That's weird, I don't recall a time of buying white tomatoes or carrots." Arthur: "Neither have I, in fact I've never seen white tomatoes or carrots before..." Mina: "They're not only white, but they're all dry of juice." Arthur: "You're right, it's as if all the juice was drained out of it... I wonder what could have cause this..." said Arthur, puzzled on what caused the white tomatoes and carrots, unaware that the pets were looking a little worried as they know the cause of it, but didn't want to put Bunnicula in any danger. Sometime in the middle of the day, when the sun was blocked by some clouds, Bunnicula was trying his best to hide from any sunlight, while thinking of way to win Veronica's heart and have her as his girlfriend. He made a few attempts to make his move, like holding some flowers or carrots for Veronica, but keeps failing on getting them to her as the sun's light keep shinning at the spots where the female rabbit was, and the vampire couldn't risk it. Poor Bunnicula, feeling sad and lonely, he wished for a way to be a normal rabbit like the girl he had a crush on. Then, when night came, Bunnicula felt hungry and went outside, hopping down the neighborhood before seeing a garden full of tomatoes. He went to take a bite on the tomatoes, unaware that a group of kids were watching. Now these kids in question were Toon kids, as one was a fox boy named Tommy (voiced by Tara Strong), the second was a Mew girl named Gidget (voiced by Lisa Ortiz), and the last two were hyena twins named Jokey (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), and Jokeo (voiced by Tom Kenny). Suddenly, the story stopped like how a film stopped from rolling, and Boney 10 came to the scene. Boney 10: "Now I'm sure you're wondering what's Tommy and his friends from Camp Disney doing in this story, well we needed a way for them to get into this story and this is the closest we can think of... alright, back to where you were, roll the story again." said Boney 10, before leaving the scene and the story continues to roll again, back to where the Toon kids were watching Bunnicula, and they were a bit spooked. Tommy: "Whoa... is that... a vampire rabbit?" Gidget: "I think so... maybe..." Jokey: "I hope it won't eat us next..." Jokeo: "It seems more interested in vegetables than us." Gidget: "That would make sense, it is a rabbit still." suddenly, Tommy and Gidget smelled something off in the air, before seeing what looked like a garlic necklace around Jokey's neck. Tommy: "Uh Jokey... what's with the garlic necklace?" Jokey: "Oh this?, it's just in case we need it, it keeps vampires away." Jokeo: "If you keep that necklace on, then you'll keep everyone away." said Jokeo, before he and the other kids took a few steps back away from Jokey. Tommy: "Should we be worried about that guy's garden?" Gidget: "Looks like someone's about to do that now." said Gidget, pointing at Chester, Harold and Veronica, who had had followed Bunnicula to the garden. Once he got one more tomato in his paws, Bunnicula heard the sound of Veronica clearing her throat, which made him drop the tomato and turned around to see Veronica crossing her arms, with Chester and Harold behind her. Bunnicula let out a nervous chuckle, before taking the tomato off the ground and showing it to Veronica. Bunnicula: "Uh... Veronica want tomato too?" Veronica: "No, for that tomato does not belong to me or you." Chester: "Look I know you love vegetables, but you shouldn't go off on your own at night, even if you're a vampire." Harold: "He's right, you might attract unwanted attention, like an angry mob." Bunnicula: "Angry mob?... Bunnicula not like the sound of that." Veronica: "Of course not, for an angry mob might come after you and... well... have you ever seen the old horror films of Dracula or other monsters?" Bunnicula: "Uh huh... Bunnicula got scared whenever Bunnicula saw them... especially when a group of people... oh... Bunnicula understand now..." Veronica: "Good, now promise me that you won't go off at night without us with you, okay?" Bunnicula: "Okay... Bunnicula promise... anything for Veronica..." said Bunnicula, before Veronica went to hug the vampire rabbit, causing him to blush a little. Veronica: "Good, now let's get back home." suddenly, the sound of a door opening was heard, alerting the pets that someone was coming, so they made a run for it as they don't want to get caught. While looking back to make sure no one was following them, they went the wrong way and ended up in the woods. Chester: "Uh oh... I think we took a wrong turn..." said Chester, before hearing the sound of wolves howling, which scared Bunnicula a lot, and went to hide behind Veronica and Harold. Veronica: "It's okay... everything will be okay." Harold: "Hey look, there's tunnel, we can use it to get out of this forest." Bunnicula: "Okay." said Bunnicula, before he and Harold went into the tunnel. Chester: "Guys wait, that's a pipeline, and we don't know if it'll get us home!" Veronica: "Well anywhere is better than staying here at night." Chester: "Fair enough." said Chester, before he and Veronica followed the other two pets into the pipeline. Once they got to the end of the pipe, they found themselves inside the closed down food processing plant. Bunnicula: "What place be?" Harold: "This is the place where Mina's dad used to work in before it got closed down." Bunnicula: "Why plant close?" Chester: "From what I heard, there were a lot of mysterious accidents going on here... like chewed up rope or a large metal container nearly fell on top of people." Bunnicula: "Oh... and nobody knew why?" Veronica: "Right, and we don't have a clue what could be causing them." suddenly, Harold made a full stop and sniffed the air, before looking ahead that made him scared. Harold: "Uh guys... I think I might found a big clue on what's been causing the accidents here..." Chester: "Really?... what?" Harold: "Gulp... them!" shouted Harold, pointing at a pack of hungry wolves, which scared the pets a lot. Veronica: "Wolves!" Harold: "Let's get out of here!" called out Harold, before he and the other pets make a run for it, trying to get from the wolves, who were now chasing the pets. The cat and dog pets ran all over the plant, until they got to an opened closet, and went inside before closing the door by using their feet. Harold: "Hey... where's Bunnicula and Veronica?" Chester: "I thought they were with you?" Harold: "Oh no!, they're still out there!" shouted Harold, trying to open the door, but due to not having thumbs, it was a challenge for him. Back with the rabbits, they were now cornered up against a wall, facing the wolves that were getting ready to attack. Bunnicula was more scared than ever before, but when he saw that the wolves were aiming for Veronica first, who was really scared too, something snapped inside of him. His eyes began to glow red, and glared at the wolves with a hissing sound, which scared the wolves a lot, as they've never seen a rabbit doing what Bunnicula was doing before. The vampire rabbit turned into a bat, and started to swoop down at the wolves, which were more scared now, forcing them to retreat, trying to get away from the angry vampire rabbit. Bunnicula chased them right into a large container, trapping the wolves inside, before pressing a button on the wall that triggered the emergency alarm. Meanwhile, outside of the plant, Mina and her father were out searching for the pets, when they heard the sound the emergency alarms in the plant. Arthur: "What's going on in there?" Mina: "Let's check it out." Arthur: "Hey wait up!" back with the pets, Bunnicula turned back to his rabbit form, and hopped up to the door knob turning it far enough to open it, freeing Chester and Harold at last. Chester: "What happened?" Veronica: "Bunnicula saved me and stopped those wolves, he's a hero!" said Veronica, before planting a kiss on Bunnicula's cheek, which made him have heart shaped eyes and blushing deep red and steam coming out of his ears. It wasn't long before Mina and her dad came into the plant and found the pets. Mina: "There they are!, thank goodness they're okay!" Arthur: "And it looks like we found what's been causing the accidents in the plant." said Arthur, as he was looking at the wolves in the container. When the next day came the news about the wolves been taken back to the woods and the plant running again spread like wildfire, and the pets were declared heroes for exposing the wolves. Mina: "So the wolves won't be able to get into the plant again?" Arthur: "That's right, we set up a drain gate so the wolves won't be able to get into the plant again, and they were in there just to get some food." Mina: "But there's one thing I still don't get... how did those wolves get into that container?" Arthur: "Hmm... that is a mystery, but it probably doesn't matter, I'm just happy that things are back to normal." Mina: "Yeah, and Bunnicula and the others are safe." said Mina, as she and her dad went off to another room of the house. Back with the pets, they were looking at the newspaper that has their picture, of course Bunnicula was not in it though. Harold: "Hey, where's Bunnicula?, he should be in this picture." Veronica: "He went back into his box when this picture was taken." Chester: "Besides, even if he was in the picture, he can't be seen in it as vampires don't have a reflection." Harold: "Oh yeah... forgot about that." that was when Veronica noticed that Bunnicula was looking at her necklace. Veronica: "Sorry Bunnicula, this tomato is not real, it's just for showing." Bunnicula: "That's okay... Bunnicula like seeing fake tomato on Veronica, for tomato make Veronica look very pretty." this made Veronica blush a little, happy to hear that it makes her look pretty. Veronica: "Thanks Bunnicula... you're the sweetest vampire I've ever met." said Veronica, before giving the vampire rabbit a kiss on the cheek, which made Bunnicula turned red with beating hearts for eyes and steam coming out of his ears. Bunnicula: "Wow... Bunnicula happy..." said Bunnicula, before he faints with a smile on his face, which made Veronica giggle. Chester and Harold couldn't help but chuckle too by the cute sight between the two rabbits. Harold: "Oh I love a happy ending..." Chester: "Me too..." said the dog and cat, before Veronica went to pick Bunnicula up to give him a big hug, while the vampire rabbit returned the hug and winked at the viewers of this story. That was when the scene changed back to where Boney 10 was, closing the book as the story ended. Boney 10: "And that's the story of Bunnicula the vampire rabbit... this version anyway, I hope you'll all have a nice day, bye for now folks!" said Boney 10, before the scene turns black, showing that the story has ended.

THE END.
