Screams echo throughout the room. The cries of pain are heard by many but not a soul reacts. The inmates don't hear; however, the cells are soundproof. They have mostly gotten used to this over the past 2 years. Soldiers on edge, fearful of their enemy trying to destroy their precious city. Out of everything, they have faith in their ruler that he will protect them from the growing and constant threat.

The yells silence for a moment before they continue. This boy they grabbed 2 years ago. They believe he is key in their plans for a dark army to help against the threat. At least, they used to. The boy seems resistant to the eco they have been pumping into his veins. No anomalies after 2 years of these horrible experiments.

The dark eco station finished pumping the eco into him. The boy quickly fell to unconsciousness when the pain finally stopped. His bio readings were nominal and unchanged. The hope for the dark army was finished with the experiment.

"Hmmpp, nothing! I was informed this one might be different." The Baron yelled at his commander.

"He is surprisingly resistant to your... 'experiments', Baron Praxis." Errol stated as the Baron walked to the ledge, "I fear the Dark Warrior program has failed."

The Baron growled and grabbed onto the boy's head, "You should be at least dead with all the Dark Eco I pumped into you!"

Errol gets his attention, "What now? Metal Head armies are pressing their attacks. Without a new weapon, my men can't hold them off forever."

Praxis looked away for a few moments, "I will not be remembered as the man who lost this city to those vile creatures!" He asserts, "Move forward with the final plan!" Baron looks at the boy, "And finish of this 'thing' tonight."

"As you wish." Errol said as the Baron walked off, "I'll deal with you soon..."

With that the Baron walked off with Errol shortly behind. Errol pulled out his comm and talked into it. He instructed guards to take the boy to the entrance to Dead Town and he will meet them there. Within moments, guards walked past Errol and Praxis with a box.

"I recommend dealing with it sooner rather than later." The Baron spoke sternly.

"What do you mean, my Baron?" Errol raised an eyebrow.

"If you were to spend more time getting rid of that 'thing' instead of flirting with that mechanic girl, we would be able to move on faster."

Errol is silent for a moment, "I'm sorry, my Baron."

"Just be better, I can't afford any time to be wasted while those Metal Heads bang on my city doors!"

"I understand, my Baron."

Praxis growled lowly, "I will send Ashelin and her men to find those artifacts. I do not want to be disturbed."

Errol stopped following the Baron as they got outside. The Baron hopped into his Hellcat and flew up to the palace. Errol grumbled to himself as he got on his cruiser and made his way to the exit to Dead Town. Dammit.

A small rodent walks along the path to the racing garages. He is on his way to talk to his close friend about any new information either one has come across. He walked in and saw the blue headed girl, Keira reading a piece of paper. He jumped up on the speeder she was working on.

"Heya, Keira." Daxter said in his usually cocky way.

"Hey, Daxter, any news?" She asked in a more monotone voice, she was guessing the answer was no.

"Not particularly. I saw that Errol guy looking super pissed off on my way here."

"Yeah," she looked up from the piece of paper, "He had a guard deliver me a note."
