"Just hold me... I don't want to be alone..."Heartache fills me
And the tears won't dry up
Memories haunt me
As the loneliness grips tight"Don't leave me... please..."
"... I don't want to die here..."
Beyonce
I never expected anyone to move into this place. I've watched it stay empty for so many years. Don't get me wrong it's a beautiful home, but I guess most people can't get past what took place in it all those years ago. I don't blame them either.
I watched the woman from the window as she grabbed a box bringing it into the house. I couldn't see her too well, but that didn't change the fact that I was jumping with joy that there will be a new person around here. Someone I can talk to?
I watched her struggle to bring a smaller piece of furniture in the house. Maybe I should help her. I literally don't have anything better to do today. Or I should leave her alone? She might not want to bothered, I know I wouldn't if I had to move a lot of my shit in my house mostly by myself. I also don't think I would turn down genuine help either though.
I sighed having a mental battle with myself as I was now standing at her front door. I was more than nervous but I did want to help. We could probably be the best of friends. I don't really have any except for Clifford, but he's older and gets on my nerves. I'm sure I do the same for him. As I was about to knock on the door it swung open. The woman gave me a startled confuse look.
"Hi" In all honesty she scared me too.
"Hello" She greeted still seeming very uncomfortable with my presence.
"I-I'm Beyonce" I said in the same low tone as before.
"Ok..." She dragged out scrunching up her face. Oh god I'm getting on her nerves.
"I-I live across... the street there and I just wanted to know if you needed any help with moving in and getting settled" I asked nervously.
"Oh it's okay I don't want to impose on your time, it's quite a lot that needs to be done" She said gesturing towards the moving truck.
"No I don't mind, I'm pretty free today" I shrugged. She looked like she was contemplating for a moment.
"Well okay, thank you" She spoke more energetically.
"Of course, what do you want me to do first, uhhh..." I trailed off because she has yet to tell me her name.
"Oh sorry, it's Megan" She put her hand over her chest seeming slightly embarrassed.
"What would like to me do first Megan" I repeated with her name this time.
"Bring as many boxes from the truck as you can inside please." She told me.
"Got it" I gave her a head nod as we both headed towards the truck.
It didn't take long for us to get everything inside, but it did take us a few hours to organize everything. That still wasn't too bad. All the big items were taken in earlier by the movers, so that was a plus.
