Virat entered the room, smiling after his call with AB, but Rohit's mood was unmistakably sour. He was sulking in the corner, arms crossed, sending quick glances towards Virat. The room felt charged with the tension only best friends could create. Jaddu, always one to stir the pot, grinned as he leaned towards Rohit, casually scrolling through a gallery of pictures. "Look at this," he whispered, flashing an image of AB and Virat sharing a laugh during their last match together. "Best buds, right?"
Rohit’s frown deepened as he clenched his jaw. “I was waiting here, and he's chatting with AB,” he muttered under his breath.
Jaddu, seeing his chance, poked more fun. "I mean, you guys are close, but... AB’s got a special place, don’t you think?" he said mischievously, fueling the jealousy.
Just as Rohit was about to retort, Shivam entered, holding his head in one hand. Without a word, he moved toward Jaddu, who was still in full playful mode, and laid his head on his lap, looking up at him with a pitiful expression. "Jaddu bhai, my head’s killing me," Shivam complained softly.
Jaddu’s grin faded as he immediately switched into caring mode, gently massaging Shivam's head, though his eyes still gleamed with amusement toward Rohit.
Rohit couldn’t take it anymore. The silent glances, the constant frowning, the way Virat seemed so unfazed by his best friend's sulking. His frustration boiled over, and in one swift motion, he marched up to Virat and snatched the phone from his hand.
“Seriously, Vi?” Rohit grumbled, his voice low but laced with irritation. “I’ve been sitting here waiting for you, and all you care about is talking to that ABCD alien, AB, huh?” The hint of jealousy in his tone was impossible to miss, and even Jaddu, who had been preoccupied with Shivam, raised an eyebrow in amusement.
Virat blinked, surprised at the sudden outburst. “Rohit, what the—?”
But Rohit wasn’t done. “No, don't ‘what’ me. You’ve been on that call with him for ages while I’m here! Your best friend! Where's my attention, huh?”
Virat bit back a smile, realizing what was going on. He glanced at Jaddu, who was clearly enjoying the scene, and then back at Rohit, who looked genuinely upset. He sighed, stepping closer to Ro and placing a hand on his shoulder. “Come on, Ro. You know no one comes before you.”
But Rohit wasn’t buying it just yet. “Sure, Vi. Except maybe AB,” he muttered, still clutching the phone like a trophy he'd just won.
Shivam, oblivious to the deeper currents in the room, whined softly from Jaddu’s lap, “Jaddu bhai, can you press a bit harder? The headache’s still there…”
Jaddu gave a small chuckle, still watching the drama unfold. “Looks like there’s more than one person with a headache in this room,” he muttered, smirking at Rohit’s ongoing sulk.
Later that night, Aaditya had finally settled into his room, the atmosphere buzzing with excitement after his grand entrance. Virat, however, couldn’t shake off the swirling thoughts that had been haunting him since Aaditya’s arrival. Without a second thought, he made his way to Aaditya’s room, each step fueled by a mix of possessiveness and frustration.
As he barged in, the door slamming shut behind him, the sight before him stopped him in his tracks. Aaditya stood shirtless, his back to the door, oblivious to Virat’s entrance. His toned body glistened in the dim light, muscles flexing as he casually dried his hair with a towel. Virat’s eyes instinctively traced every line of Aaditya’s frame, his heart pounding with an unexpected surge of possessiveness.
What if someone else had walked in? The thought made Virat’s chest tighten. His fiancé, looking this breathtakingly handsome, was a sight only he should witness. The very idea of someone else seeing Aaditya like this sent a wave of jealousy through him, stronger than anything he’d anticipated.
Aaditya, sensing Virat’s presence, turned around with a lazy grin, completely unaware of the storm raging inside Virat. “Hey, Vi. What’s up?” he asked, tossing the towel aside, his tone casual, almost playful.
But Virat wasn’t in the mood for playfulness. His eyes narrowed, and without a word, he strode over, closing the distance between them in a few quick steps. He grabbed Aaditya by the waist, pulling him close, his fingers digging into Aaditya’s sides as he whispered, “What if someone else had come in? What if they saw you like this?”
Aaditya blinked in surprise, his grin faltering as he looked into Virat’s eyes. “Vi, what are you—?”
“You didn’t tell me you were coming,” Virat cut him off, his voice low and strained. “You just show up, out of nowhere, and now this? You’re standing here, shirtless, like it’s no big deal. What if... what if Jaddu or Harry had walked in instead of me?”
Aaditya’s surprise melted into understanding, and his expression softened. He lifted a hand to cup Virat’s face, his thumb brushing gently against his cheek. “Vi... I didn’t mean to upset you. I thought it would be a fun surprise.”
“A surprise?” Virat’s voice cracked slightly, his emotions bubbling to the surface. “You think showing up like this, out of the blue, is just a fun surprise? I’ve been going crazy ever since you walked in earlier. And then I come here, and you’re just... standing there, like this.” His hands tightened around Aaditya’s waist, pulling him even closer. “You’re mine, Aadi. Only mine.”
Aaditya’s eyes softened, his heart warming at Virat’s possessiveness. He knew this side of Virat, the one that was fiercely protective, the one that wanted to keep their world safe and private. He leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Virat’s lips, slow and tender, hoping to calm the storm brewing inside him.
The kiss lingered, their breaths mingling as Virat’s grip on Aaditya slowly relaxed. The intensity of his jealousy gave way to something softer, a deep need to feel close, to feel reassured. Aaditya’s hands slid up to Virat’s neck, fingers tangling in his hair as he deepened the kiss, coaxing Virat to let go of his worries, if only for a moment.
When they finally pulled apart, both were breathless, foreheads resting together as they shared a quiet moment of understanding. Aaditya smiled softly, brushing his thumb over Virat’s lips. “I’m here now,” he whispered, his voice warm and soothing. “And I’m not going anywhere. I’m yours, Vi. Always.”
Virat closed his eyes, letting out a shaky breath as he leaned into Aaditya’s touch. “You drive me insane, you know that?” he muttered, though there was no real anger in his voice anymore.
Aaditya chuckled, pressing another soft kiss to Virat’s lips. “I’ll make it up to you. No more surprises without a warning, I promise.”
Virat smirked, his possessiveness still lingering but softened by the love he felt radiating from Aaditya. “Good,” he murmured, wrapping his arms fully around Aaditya, holding him close as if he could shield him from the world. “You’re mine. No one else gets to see you like this.”
Aaditya smiled, resting his head against Virat’s shoulder, completely content in his fiancé’s embrace. “Only yours, Vi,” he whispered again, the words a quiet promise that echoed in the intimate silence of the room.
