The evening had a soft glow, the air filled with anticipation as Vi sat in his room, excitement practically vibrating through him. His engagement party was being arranged downstairs, and the thought of seeing his fiancée, Aadi, had his heart racing. He could already picture Aadi, dressed for the occasion, and the perfect moment waiting to unfold.
Unable to hold back any longer, Vi picked up his phone and dialed Aadi’s number, his nerves buzzing with excitement. The call rang a few times before it connected, and the moment it did, Vi, unable to contain his feelings, blew a kiss through the phone.
"Miss me ?" Vi's voice was laced with flirtation, his excitement spilling over before giving Aadi a chance to speak. "You know, I can't stop thinking about how stunning you're going to look tonight. I’m counting down the minutes to see you.”
What Vi didn’t know was that the call had connected to Bluetooth, and not only Aadi but also Aadi’s big brother, Daksh, was listening in. Aadi opened his mouth to respond, but Daksh, catching on to the situation, swiftly placed his hand over Aadi’s mouth, stifling his words.
Vi continued, completely unaware of the playful chaos on the other side. “You have no idea how much I’ve been waiting for this day. I’m ready to sweep you off your feet and have everyone in the room jealous of us.” His voice softened into a playful whisper, “You know, I was thinking, maybe we sneak in a kiss or two before the big moment. What do you say?”
Aadi’s eyes widened, a muffled sound of protest coming from behind Daksh’s hand, but Daksh, thoroughly enjoying the situation, grinned. “Shh, let’s see how far this goes,” Daksh teased, holding his hand firmly over Aadi’s mouth to prevent him from speaking.
Aadi squirmed, trying to break free, but Daksh wasn’t about to let the fun end. “So, Vi,” Daksh said, jumping into the conversation with a smirk, “is that kiss offer open to brothers too? Or just reserved for Aadi?”
Vi froze for a moment, realizing with horror that his intimate conversation wasn’t so private after all. “Wait… Daksh?!” he exclaimed, laughter bubbling out of him despite the embarrassment.
"Yep," Daksh replied, his voice full of amusement. "Aadi’s right here, but I thought I’d handle the talking for now."
"Let him go!" Vi laughed, shaking his head, both embarrassed and amused by the situation. "You’re ruining my romantic moment!"
Aadi, still muffled behind Daksh’s hand, tried to speak, but all that came out were garbled sounds of protest, his cheeks flushed with a mix of laughter and frustration.
Daksh grinned, finally releasing Aadi, who immediately gasped, “Vi! I’m so sorry, I tried to stop him!”
Vi chuckled, the warmth of the moment washing over him. “It’s fine, Aadi. Just make sure you save a kiss for me later. I’ll deal with Daksh when I see him.”
“Can’t wait!” Daksh teased one last time before hanging up, leaving Aadi blushing and Vi still chuckling at the unexpected interruption. The night was just beginning, and with moments like these, Vi knew it would be a memorable one.
Aadi hung up the phone, his cheeks still flushed from a mix of embarrassment and frustration. He turned slowly toward Daksh, who stood there with an infuriatingly smug grin plastered on his face. Aadi’s glare could have cut through stone, but Daksh didn’t seem the least bit bothered.
“Really, Daksh Bhai?” Aadi huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. “You had to ruin my moment like that?”
Daksh, still smirking, shrugged innocently. “Ruin? I’d say I made it more entertaining. Besides, I couldn’t just let you two be all lovey-dovey without throwing in a little fun, could I?”
