Blair

While I used my mental ability to throw two daggers at Sadie. she barely dodged one while the other made a small cut along her forearm. The disgusting smell of sweat and blood fill my nostrils: sweat sticks to mine and Sadie's bodies from the long hours of training for the trials. She makes two copies of herself, and one tries to throw a punch at my stomach.

When the other her almost cut at my stomach with the same dagger I used my Tellie ability to cut her forearm. I hit that one with my elbow to throw her off leaving a long deep slash on my thigh instead. Plagues that hurt. I tripped the other one with a foot before she managed to hit my shoulder having me almost fall over before I catch myself.

"Well, that was great." Sadie let out a breathy laugh, removing her two copies. "Yeah. I think we're done for today. What about you?" She stood back up on her feet and walked towards me. That's when she saw me look at the Azer brothers from the corner of my eye, then letting out a hum of understanding before leaving while saying "See you tomorrow!" Then turned her back to me before going back into the palace.

I saw Kai with Kitt: these two love a good fight. Especially Kai. While I strode my way over to the Azer brothers, I felt Kitt's gaze bore into me from the other side of the training field.

"Hey boys," I asked with a smile "How is the training going?" My sharped gaze looked over both of them before returning back up to their faces, and back to Kai. "Getting ready for the trials Kai?"
"I see that you two have been going at it all day." I added a bit of teasing in my tone
"Not that I really need to prepare." a smirk makes it onto my lips as I listen to what Kai has to say.

"Well, I think the future enforcer would want to make a good impression on the kingdom by winning." I raise my hand to scan over my nails. "I plan on doing just that."

I glance back up at him, giving him a smile that wouldn't be considered sweet in his eyes.
"I hope so. You are the best elite Ilya had in decades, or maybe that is just what people say." Kai almost rolled his eyes. Kitt walked up and put a hand to his bare chest dramatically.

"Ouch Blair. I'll remember that comment of yours when I'm king."
"Awe, did I wound that pride of yours Kitt?" I give the blond a fake pout before turning my attention back to Kai.
"Besides, I think I will be winning the games this year." I announced in confidence. He huffed out a laugh. He doesn't believe me.
Of course, for someone as arrogant and cocky then he is. "And what makes you so sure you'll be competing?" He questioned.

He knows I will be in the trials, why would I be here if I wasn't just to get extra training in? Of course not. I flicked my wrist, using my mental power I let a dagger from the weapon rack glide through the air in response to his crude comment of questioning my skill in combat.
I suspend the dagger close enough to his throat.
"I am daughter of the general of Ilya." I walked up and murmured in his ear "I think I would have a good chance of getting into the trials. Don't you think so?"

I giggled when I continued to press the dagger against his throat. Making a point to the future enforcer that I am going win the games.
His smile is cold to me.
As he flipped the dagger on me instead of him pressing it to my heart that has my leather top covering it. Bastard stole my power,

"Then you should train more." I narrowed my eyes at him as the dagger started to loosen its hold on me before falling to the ground. Kai turned his back on me and walked back into the castle. With Kitt following close behind on their way back into the palace gates.

I grunt in annoyance, soon making way towards a different entrance to the castle gate to not run into them again. I passed through several maids and guards. to make it towards my room and take a nice warm bath and to change into a different set of clothes.

After my bath my skin feels clean. smelling like the sweet scent of my soap of lavender and cinnamon. It doesn't reek of blood and sweat anymore like it did a few ago. My hair flows freely around my shoulders. no longer sticking to my face because of the burning sun. I took a stroll around the long halls of the castle before dinner.

Right when I was about to turn a corner someone ran into me. I barely had enough time to catch myself. That's when a strong hand came to my waist holding me in place right before I almost fell. two pale blue eyes. I didn't get a good look of the rest of his face to confront this man on bumping into me. But I did notice his eyes are like ice. that look almost frozen in time.

Before I could let a single sentence of confrontation.
The man let a hand off my waist. Causing me to land on my rear on the carpet floor. He sprints past me and goes around a corner. "Rude ass," I muttered under my breath.

I got back up my feet. I wiped down the wrinkles on my gown then I departed from the scene and continued to wander the corridors.
That's when one of my father's soldiers came up to me
"Your father wants you to come to his office." The guard stated residing the words that were ordered by my father.
"Agh what does he want?!" I said with a tone full of annoyance.
"He asked to speak with you about the trials."
I groaned, "Fine, I'm coming."

I follow the guard down to my father's office and once we get there, he opens the door for me. "Yes father?" I spoke with a hint of disdain in my voice.

"Blair, I wanted to talk with you about your training for the games." He sat in his leather chair, while he looked through some files at his desk not sparing me a single glance. "That's what I have been doing in the past month." I try to hide my annoyance from him.
"Yes, I want you to start training physically and with weaponry." I couldn't hide the shock and confusion on my face.

"Why?! Why do I need to work twice as hard and use more than necessary!" I demanded from him "Because you are my daughter. And you will win the trials even when you don't use your power. It will show that you will be fit to be a queen or to be married into the royal family."
So, I wasn't strong enough to be queen before!? "Ok then father."
I added a hint of malice in my voice. "Who is going to teach me?"

Father flicked his wrist to open the door to his office to reveal the exact same bastard who ran into me and dropped me. I sent a glare towards him. While his face held a calmness, he had a strong jawline. Tan skin. A strong build that looked like it could be just as impressive or more than the enforcer's. His dark forest hair that looks too fluffy and those eyes... it's infuriating.

My attention went back to my father. "This is Dorian Lysander. He will be the one training you. I trust him and I will see improvement in a month." Dorian. That's his name.
"Fine," I grumbled and turned on my heel to get out of that room.

While I dashed back down a corridor, I glimpsed over my shoulder. To find Dorian striding behind me.

"Why are you following me?!"
I turned and addressed him.

"Just to walk you back to your room. And to see if you're safe." He stated.

"Oh and what? You're my bodyguard now too?"

"No, I'm not a bodyguard."

"Whatever Lysander."
I roll my eyes at him. We stop at my bedroom door.

"Training starts at four-am tomorrow."

"Why so early?!"

"Because we could get more training done. And we won't be sweating when the suns not out yet."

"Ugh whatever,"

I slam my door in his disgustingly beautiful face I make it inside my bedroom, as I crawl into my comfortable bed and pull the sheets over me, I can't believe my own father thinks I'm weak enough to have someone train me...
