Laila stood face to face with Rafe, her fury boiling over like a pot left on the stove too long.

"Why are you so hell-bent on ruining everything?" Laila shouted, her voice slicing through the tension. "You know Kiara hates you! Are you that desperate for drama?"

"Oh, please," Rafe shot back, rolling his eyes. "You think I care what she thinks? She's a jealous little brat, and you're too weak to stand up to her."

"Weak?" Laila's voice trembled with rage. "You're the one who can't handle a little familial loyalty! You think this is just about you? I'm tired of choosing sides, Rafe!"

"Then maybe you should realize how pathetic it is to let your sister control your life!" he snapped, stepping closer, his anger palpable. "I thought you were better than this. You're just another puppet on her strings."

"Don't you dare talk about my sister like that!" Laila yelled, fists clenched, her blood boiling. "You're the one who can't take responsibility for your actions! You're toxic, Rafe! You're always stirring up chaos!"

"Yeah, well, at least I'm not a doormat!" he shot back, his voice rising as the rain pounded down harder. "You're so afraid of losing her approval that you'll throw me under the bus without a second thought!"

"Maybe I should! You think you can waltz into my life and expect everyone to love you? You're delusional!" Laila's voice cracked with emotion, the tears mixing with the rain on her cheeks. "You're not just an obstacle; you're a nightmare!"

"Maybe I'm the best thing that ever happened to you, and you're too scared to admit it!" Rafe yelled, his face twisted with frustration. "You just want to keep playing the victim while I'm the one fighting for us!"

"I'm not the victim here! You're the one making this impossible!" Laila screamed, her heart racing with anger. "You claim to love me, but you're too busy being a selfish jerk to see how your actions affect me!"

"Fine! If I'm such a burden, then maybe you should just let me go!" Rafe spat, rage and hurt swirling in his eyes. "I'm done chasing someone who can't even make a decision!"

"Good! Walk away! Go back to your miserable life!" Laila shouted, her voice echoing in the storm. "You're proving my sister right—you're nothing but trouble!"

As he turned away, the atmosphere mingling with her tears, Laila felt a mixture of relief and devastation. She had finally said what she needed to say, but the weight of their toxic love hung heavily in the air, both of them standing on opposite sides of a chasm they had created together—angry, hurt, and utterly broken.
