The next day

Amane was in the kitchen making food for Kagaya. Even though they had servants for that but, Amane couldn't trust anyone with Kagaya's health. With every thing going on the last thing she wanted was Kagaya to have food poisoning

In the middle of her cooking she could hear her mother in law yelling at Kagaya for some reason. Amane left the stove for some minute and went towards her mother in law's chamber and started evesdroping

"kagaya this clan really needs an heir" Amane heard her mother in law
"but moth-" Kagaya tried to objectify
"i don't know I won't listen to your tantrums anymore. I have already listened enough by not forcing you two to have child before. If that girl cant conceive a child tell me I will marry you off to her sister "
"quickly give this clan an heir"

Amane quickly went back towards as she heard her mother in law coming out of her kitchen. Amane's mind filled with a lots of thoughts when she heard her mother in law's last sentence 'if that girl cant conceive a child I will marry off to her cousin' her cousin akane

In their room

Both her and Kagaya were having lunch in their chambers "what happened" Kagaya asked Amane noticing her lost in thoughts "mother in law told us to conceive our child quickly" Amane said looking down

Kagaya figured out that Amane heard him and his mother talking. He keeps hands on top of hers. Amane looks at him "look Amane I don't care about what my mother or anyone says. I love you, I will never leave you even if you cant conceive a child. If we cant have a child we will adopt one" he said

"i--" Amane couldn't say anything because how overwhelmed she was with emotions. She didn't notice when a tear escaped her eyes "now don't be like a cry baby" Kagaya teased her and wiped her tears. Amane quickly smiles and wipes her tears.

"I am just a bit afraid mother in law doesn't like me already and if I cant conceive a child" Amane didn't continue

"Amane you don't need anyone else to like you. I love you all our childrens from corp members love you and thats what matters" Kagaya told Amane in the same tone in which Amane told him yesterday

"lets finish our lunch. The food is getting cold" Amane indicates him to continue eating her food. Kagaya made Amane eat with his hands. This little gestures of him makes Amane like him more.

She cant live without Kagaya right now. No one in her life ever have priorities her thoughts as much Kagaya does. After they finished their lunch. An servent came and took their plates

Amane prepared a futon for Kagaya to sleep on. "please lay down so I can massage your body" she indicating him towards the futon

Kagaya smiles and removes his yukata. So, that Amane can massage his back. Kagaya lays down on his stomach. Amane takes out some oil out of the bottle and rubs it on his back "is your back hurting somewhere?" she asked "down on my waist" Amane runs and massages that place more

After massaging his back Amane told him turn around "Are you feeling good right now" Amane asked him and Kagaya nods his head. Kagaya took his hands towards her lip and wipes the bloody red colour lipstick from her lips. It's like his habit now

"why do you always do that" Amane said pulling her face back from his hands. Kagaya didn't said anything and laughs. This made Amane annoyed and tickled Kagaya "wait-wait- haha" Kagaya tried to free himself from Amane but was unsuccessful in it. Amane stops for a moment to let Kagaya breath

But in that process Kagaya pulls her to the futon and makes her lay beside him. He looks at her supporting his head with his arm. He holds her waist and squeezes it "heyy what are you doing" she said trying to remove his hand

"this is what you get for tickling me" Kagaya said holding her cheeks

Both Kagaya and Amane didn't said anything. Kagaya moves closer to her face and pecks her lips in a passionate way.

Amane Pecks him again in the same way. Those sweet Pecks quickly turn into passionate kisses.

Until an Kakushi knocked their door "ubuyashiki sama we have a letter for you" that Kakushi said "wait a minute" Amane said. She quickly fixed her Kimono and wipes her smudged lipstick. She went towards the door and opens it. That Kakushi gave her the letter "it is given by the flame hashira sama shinjuro rengoku" That Kakushi bowed his head and went from there

Amane closes the door and went inside. She sits beside Kagaya. "what is it?" Kagaya asked. Amane opens the letter

Her eyes widened when she red it

Due to unfortunate death of my wife. I am sending this letter in form of a respect to ubuyashiki sama to seek permission for leaving the demon slayer corps
