Catherine "Cat" Richmond stood at the edge of the white flooring, nervous with everyone's gaze upon her. The camera flashing across her face was not helping either. Sam was just excited to see her even though she knew Cat was the twin who acted first and thought about the consequences later.
"I...em... I" Cat stuttered nervously. She looked beautiful in her beautiful green silk gown but her red hair and tall stature made her look lanky, frail, and alone at the edge of the white flooring.
Sam didn't want to panic but she was hoping with everything in her that best friend just not made everyone turn their attention to her without thinking. Cat must have thought of something right?
Drop dead silence. Everyone held their breath in anticipation.
"What is all this?" Frederick's voice thundered breaking the shrill silence. "Are you seriously playing jokes at Sam's wedding?"
Cat quickly shook her head very quickly in defense. "No, no, you misunderstand me-"
"Cat?" Sam's voice sounded more like a plea.
"How could you Cat? Can't you see how frightened Sam is?
"I didn't mean that Uncle Fred" Catherine continues waving her hand. "Sam, I am sorry I didn't mean to scare you" she speaks quickly, tumbling words over one another.
"Then what is this?" Fred bellows.
"Cat? Please save me" Sam's eyes looked to her friend for hope.
"See what you have done?" Fred lashed, waving a finger at Sam. "She is crying"
"Uncle Fred...I...I..." Cat waved her hands quickly, this wasn't what she was trying to do "I am sorry, I didn't mean for this-"
"The flower girls!" Nat rushes to Catherine's side. She gave her sister a slight glare and pointedly glared at Frederick, her dislike was evident and she didn't hide it. "If anyone is making Sam cry it isn't my sister and we KNOW that!"
Frederick smiled nervously. He glanced from the sisters to his daughter. He knew who Kat was talking about but he wasn't going to give her a chance to mess this up.
"Then what is going on? I mean, if your sister is not attempting to sabotage Sam, then what is happening here? I mean, if your sister is not attempting to sabotage Sam, then what is happening here??" Frederick glanced from Cat to Nat and lastly at the little children hiding behind Nat's gown.
Nat scoffed, there were many things she wanted to say, but today wasn't the time or place. She beamed her most charming smile and took a few more steps towards the guests so that she was standing directly in front of Sam.
"All this confusion is because of those two little angels" Kat smiled at everyone. Her confidence radiated as she spoke, her ability to command attention was almost seductive.
"What do you mean?" Sam asked, her heart sinking with her question.
With an exaggerated show of hands, Katherine Richardson steps to the side to show two beautiful girls dressed in white satin. "You see, someone forgot that flower girls were supposed to go before the bride" Kat glared at Jesse. She knew he was the one who caused all this. He had complained about the girl's dresses and how they didn't fit the image he wanted for the wedding.
Jesse looked like he was losing his mind. Why wouldn't he? The event wasn't going as planned.
Kat pouted and turned on her puppy eyes to the guests. "They won't stop crying and honestly they practiced so much for today and all of a sudden we told them the bride was already walking down..."
