The afternoon sun cast its warm glow over Tokyo Station, illuminating the restless energy of the crowd. People milled about, awaiting the arrival of the new student. Amidst the bustle, my stomach growled, protesting the delay. I walked towards the cotton candy stand, my feet carrying me towards the colorful treats. The scent of sugary goodness wafted through the air, tantalizing my taste buds.
As I approached the vibrant stall, Megumi appeared beside me, his presence quiet yet commanding. His long strides effortlessly kept pace with mine. "Hey, Y/N," he said, his voice low and even. I turned to him, my eyebrow rising in inquiry, my head cocking slightly to the side."Take Itadori with you for a bit," Megumi requested, his eyes locked onto mine. His gaze held a hint of pleading, a rare sight. I raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued. "Why?" The question hung in the air, suspended between us.
Megumi's expression remained stern, his jaw set. "I need some quiet time. He's been bickering all morning." His words painted a picture of Yuji's relentless energy, his constant banter wearing thin. I shook my head, my ponytail swishing across my back. "No thanks, Gumi. I need some space." My response was instinctive.
Megumi's gaze narrowed, his eyes piercing. "Please, Y/N. I'll owe you one." His tone softened, his voice laced with a hint of desperation. I hesitated, weighing my options, my eyes drifting toward the cotton candy stand.
Then, I countered, "Play PS5 with me later, and I'll take him." A sly smile spread across my face, my lips curling upward. Megumi nodded, his expression unchanging. "Deal. I'll even let you pick the game." His words were laced with resignation.
"RPGs, then," I said, my grin widening. Megumi's expression didn't waver. "Remember, you're responsible for him." His words carried a hint of warning, his eyes serious.
I nodded, acknowledging the task. Megumi turned to Yuji, his gaze shifting across the crowd. "Itadori, go with Y/N." His voice was firm.
Yuji jogged over, oblivious to the conversation. "Hey, what's up?" His grin was infectious, his eyes sparkling. He fell into step beside me.
"Let's grab cotton candy," I said, smiling. Yuji's eyes lit up. "Awesome!" He clapped his hands together.
As we walked away, the sweet scent of cotton candy enveloped us. I wondered what the new student would be like.
As I walked alongside Yuji, our shoulders occasionally brushing, a spark of electricity ran through me. I couldn't help but steal glances at him, my eyes drawn to his bright smile and carefree laughter. His joy was infectious, making my heart flutter like a bird set free. We strolled through the bustling station, our footsteps synchronized.
"Hey, Gojo-san, what's on your mind?" Yuji asked, noticing my gaze. His eyes crinkled at the corners, curiosity shining through. I attempted to sound nonchalant, my voice light. "Just wondering how you manage to stay so joyful." Yuji's eyes sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight.
"You know, Sukuna's presence makes me appreciate life more," he said, his words filled with conviction. "Every day's a gift." His smile broadened, and my heart skipped a beat. I nodded, feeling an ache of guilt deep within. Little did he know, I was reborn to save my brother, and now, my heart was tangled in a web of emotions for him.
