After enjoying a tasty lunch, Parvati and Suyash took Shikhar and Nikhil to the mall. Their first stop was the craft store to buy some wool. As they wandered through the aisles, Parvati found herself stuck between choosing pink or blue wool bundles.
Holding up a pink and blue bundle, she turned to Suyash and asked, "which one should we go for?"
Suyash said, “let’s get the pink one.”
Parvati teased him, “what if it’s a boy? Maybe we should pick some gender-neutral colors, like coral.”
Suyash shrugged, knowing she had a point. Parvati smiled at him and added a few gender-neutral bundles in coral, beige, and cream to their cart, but also grabbed some pink bundles. “Just in case we have a daughter,” she said playfully.
Both of them shared a tender smile.
Suyash said, sure of himself, "I still think it's going to be a girl.”
"We'll find out soon," Parvati giggled, her face beaming with happiness.
Kids stood quietly, staring at them with curiosity. Shikhar gently pulled on Parvati's saree and asked, “why are we buying wool?”
“It’s for making sweaters and socks for the baby,” Parvati explained gently.
The kids’ faces lit up with excitement.
Shikhar asked, “Parvati auntie, can you make something for us too?”
Parvati looked down at them lovingly and said, “of course, I’ll make something special for both of you.”
She wanted the kids to feel just as loved and important as the new baby.
Shikhar’s eyes widened with excitement. “Really? What will you make?”
“I can make cozy sweaters for both of you,” she replied.
Nikhil’s face lit up. “Can I have a blue sweater?”
“And I want a white one!” Shikhar added quickly.
Parvati laughed. “Deal!”
Suyash watched them with a smile. He felt happy seeing his kids bonding with Parvati.
After shopping for the wool, Parvati and Suyash led the kids to the play section of the mall. The children's eyes lit up with excitement as they saw the colorful rides and games.
Suyash took the kids to the carousel first. He helped them onto the horses and made sure they were safely strapped in. As the carousel started to spin, the kids laughed and waved at Parvati, who stood nearby, capturing the joyful moment with her phone.
Next, they headed to the bumper cars. Suyash and the kids climbed into one car, while Parvati cheered them on from the sidelines. The kids squealed with delight as Suyash expertly drove the car, bumping into others and dodging incoming cars. Parvati snapped more photos, wishing she could join in on the fun, but her pregnancy prevented her. Nonetheless, her heart was happy at the sight of Suyash and the kids having so much fun.
After the bumper cars, they moved to the mini train ride. ParYash and the kids climbed into one of the brightly colored train cars, while Suyash took the seat in front of them. As the train chugged along the track, the kids pointed out beautiful sights in the mall, their faces glowing with excitement. Parvati wrapped her arms around them, feeling the warmth of their little bodies against hers.
As the train ride came to an end, they all gathered for a group photo, with Suyash setting the timer on his phone and rushing to join them just in time. He had always preferred this method over a selfie.
