CHAPTER-5: BREATHLESSNESS

Silence. The people who were laughing just a few seconds ago, are now silent, with their heads bowed, looking down some feeling ashamed, and some just afraid of facing consequences.

The King looks around at everyone glaringly and just sighs, sitting down on his throne, as he gestures for the Royal priest to start the rituals.

The Royal Priest though slightly agitated at the Ministers' misbehaviour, takes a deep breath and starts
"Lady Roséanne I request for you to come forward and stand in front of your people and repeat whatever I'll say"

Rosèanne nods and gulps subtly standing up from her throne feeling nervous and confused from the king's behaviour earlier as she stands in front and looks around at everyone present below, and as she looks at the hopeful eyes of some commoners, she realises that she's stuck forever now.

The Queen mother stands just beside her, as the priest continues
Rosèanne repeats the priest's words and then the Queen mother takes the crown of Queen of Silvan from the maid standing beside her as she puts it on Rosèanne's head. With the crown shining in all it's glory Roséanne does a full bow and completes her oath, feeling slight claustrophobic,
"With this crown on my head, I can feel the weight of responsibility on my shoulders, and I promise to everyone present here, My King, The Lord, Queen mother, with all the ministers and my dear subjects...that I will try my best to fulfill all of your expectations. For the greater good of this Kingdom, I shall not back down even if it costs me my everything. Thank you."

The hall echoes with loud clapping sounds, as the Queen mother hugs Roséanne, but The King frowns as he hears Roséanne speach. The king takes a deep breath feeling sudden need to breathe freely as he stands up and allows everyone to proceed for the Royal feast arranged.

As soon as the hall gets empty, the queen mother drags Roséanne to introduce her to important personalities as The King gets up and walks away.

Rosèanne's pov:
'My cheeks hurt from putting up this smile on my face since so long. I just wish to run away right now, to a place where no one knows me. The crown's heavy, my attire as well, and these people who are continuously greeting me and overloading me with gifts aren't helping either. Ira, where's she?'

I look around for Ira, but she's nowhere to be found. Guess she got too tired. My Poor baby. Just as I was about to faint from all this attention and constant feeling of blockage in my chest, a maid comes and bows as she utters
"Your Grace, His Majesty requested for your presence in his chamber."

I frown confused as the Queen mother gestures for me to go ahead with the maid, with a sickeningly sweet smile, and I smile awkwardly feeling nervous. Though as soon as I'm out of the Throne room following the maid, I sigh in relief feeling little better than earlier, stuck between all those 'extra' people.

Lost in thoughts, I didn't realise when we stopped in front of a large door, painted in royal gold, not to forget all these gems engraved in the door. A door to King's chamber, makes sense.
The maid bows and smiles at me, and I gulp
'Oh god, I did want to get out from there, but not like this. I'm like a thirsty person who finally found an oasis, which came out to be a mirage. A scary one at that.'

Taking a deep breath, trying to calm my fast beating heart, I nod at the single guard standing outside His Majesty's chamber, as he bows and knocks at the door, announcing my presence loudly for His Majesty to hear
"Your Majesty, The Queen is here to meet you as you requested"

My heart might've come out of my throat if not for the constant blockage feeling. Queen? Am I now? I chuckle sadly at my own thoughts, a few days ago, I would've laughed at this not so funny joke, me being the queen of Silvan.

Though, feeling lost with everything happening so fast around me, I come out in the real world, after a few seconds I hear footsteps as the door gets opened and I for sure am strong for not fainting with the amount of times I've felt breathless today, and His Majesty just so happens to be the reason behind it each time.
