Tell Me What You Don't Want To Know.

Once his successor catapulted to Flower Fruit Mountain, aka his home, using his staff, he was quick to transform back from the eagle form he was in to his regular one. He watched the kid for almost two days, he's hiding something. He wonders what he saw during meditation. Why wouldn't Mk tell him?

He landed behind Mk, a confrontation on his tongue before he was interrupted.

"I'll tell them." He froze, he didn't make his landing that obvious, right? Was the kid talking to him or himself?

"What?" Judging from the fact Mk screeched in surprise, he was talking to himself.

"AAAA- Oh hi Monkey King!" Mk desperately tried to play off the fact he screamed like a girl, earning a chuckle from Wukong.

"Don't even try, bud." Mk pouted and Wukong put on a straight face (as much as the little pout of his brother made that hard.) so he could address the matter.

"Okay, kid, what's going on with you?" He saw the way Mk tensed, he was ready in case he would try to flee. His tail twitched as he reached a hand out towards Mk, he successfully grabbed his shoulder, a soft touch, yet he still flinched.

"N-nothing."

"Mk."

He finally broke.

"I saw something... when I was meditating." Monkey King listened intently, not saying a word in fear Mk would stop.

"It was.... Me, but... Monkey."

Wukong had to pause at that, what did he mean? The confusion was probably evident on his face judging from the fact Mk continued explaining.

"He looked like me but he was a monkey, like you." Wukong was slightly starting to get it now, what confused him is why he would see a stone monkey-him during meditation.

"He showed me my past, a part that even I didn't remember." Wukong hesitated before asking.

"What did you see?"

"I was created by Nuwa."

Wukong froze.

"...What?"

"I know that sounds crazy! But he- it- we?? whatever- really said that!" Mk continued trying to explain himself.

He didn't have to really, Wukong understood, it actually explained a lot. How he was able to wield his staff, why he was so similar to him, why Wukong was drawn to him, it made a lot more sense. And he knew Mk wasn't the one to lie about something like this, it would also explain why his core was so unstable while meditating.

"And then she said I was gonna be a sacrifice or something??-"

...

Hold up, rewind. WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?!

Wukong spun around so hard he nearly got whiplash.

"Wait WHAT." Mk looked at him with confused eyes until he processed what information he just released.

"Oh yeah, she said something along the lines of 'I'm sorry my child, for the sacrifice that is to come,'" Mk backed away from Wukong's gaze, he looked horrified, and- is that a bit of anger in his expression?

"Why.... Why would you need to sacrifice yourself?" Mk shrugged, he's actually not sure.

"Well whatever the reason, there is no way you're doing such a thing!" Mk smiled, though, it wasn't real. If sacrificing himself was his destiny.

Shouldn't he follow his destiny?

When he arrived at Pigsy's, he knew he had to tell the others.

He started with Mei, she was worried and confused.

Next was Pigsy and Tang, they were mad yet worried.

After that was Sandy, he forced him into a half an hour therapy session, it helped but it was way too time consuming.

They would not stop drowning him in questions and honestly, it was overwhelming.

He just wanted to rest and think this through.

Mk sat in his room, he couldn't sleep and he wanted answers, he knew only one person who knew them, himself.

Or more accurately. Us.

He sat in the familiar lotus position and let everything fade away.

Little did he know he would come to regret this decision.

NOTES: I didn't know how to write the others'reactions so I just did this, my goal was 1000 words but I ran out of motivation for this :(
