The soft sound of laughter echoed through the room as six-year-old Roohi twirled around the living room, her little dress flowing like petals in the wind. Her bright eyes sparkled with mischief, and her cheeks glowed with happiness, a stark contrast to the heavy atmosphere that had settled around Dr. Abhimanyu Birla since the turbulence in his life began.

Abhimanyu sat on the couch, his gaze distant as he flipped through pages of a medical journal, but his mind was far away. The once vibrant man was now cloaked in shadows of , feeling abandoned by the very people he had devoted his life to save. But Roohi, with her innocent laughter and boundless energy, had a way of cutting through that darkness.

Roohi (giggling) : Poppy, look! I'm a fairy princess!

She spun again, her laughter ringing like a bell. The sound was infectious, and despite himself, Abhimanyu couldn't help but smile. She always knew how to reach him, how to remind him of the joy he thought he had lost forever.

Abhimanyu:(chuckling softly) A very beautiful fairy princess, indeed! But what's a fairy princess without her magic wand?

Roohi paused, placing her tiny hands on her hips, pretending to think deeply.

Roohi: Hmm, I left it in the garden! I'll be right back!

She dashed out the door, her laughter trailing behind her like a melody. Alone again, Abhimanyu sighed, the weight of his thoughts creeping back in. He missed the connection he once had with his family, the laughter, the love.

But the moment was fleeting, for Roohi returned just moments later, holding a makeshift wand—a stick with colorful ribbons tied to the end.

Roohi:(waving it dramatically) Tada! Now I can grant you wishes, Poppy!

Abhimanyu raised an eyebrow, his heart warming at her unwavering spirit.

Abhimanyu: Oh really? What can you wish for? I hope it's something good!

Roohi: (thoughtfully) "I wish for you to smile more! And to be happy, like me!

The innocence in her words struck a chord deep within Abhimanyu. He had been so focused on the pain of the past that he had forgotten the simple joys that life still held.

Abhimanyu: And what if I wish to be happy, Rooh? What would you do then?

Roohi: (beaming) "Then I'll be your happiness! I'll be your sunshine! No more sad faces, Poppy!

As she spoke, Abhimanyu felt the heaviness in his heart lift ever so slightly. Roohi had this incredible gift—the ability to see through the darkness, to bring light where it was desperately needed.

Abhimanyu:(softly) You're already my sunshine, Rooh. You don't even know how much you've helped me.

Roohi's face lit up, her eyes wide with joy. She ran to him, climbing into his lap, wrapping her tiny arms around his neck.

Roohi: Then I'll never let you be sad again! We'll have ice cream parties, and we can play dress-up every day!

Abhimanyu chuckled, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her close. In that moment, he realized that he didn't have to bear his burdens alone. Roohi had woven herself into the fabric of his life, becoming a source of light and hope in a world that felt overwhelmingly dark.

Abhimanyu: You're right. We should have an ice cream party! Just the two of us. What flavor should we get?

Roohi:(thinking hard) Chocolate with sprinkles! And we can have fairy bread too!

Abhimanyu nodded, his heart swelling with affection.

Abhimanyu: Chocolate and sprinkles it is, then! But you have to promise to share.

Roohi: (giggling) "Only if you smile!

And just like that, with her childlike innocence and unwavering spirit, Roohi had broken through the walls Abhimanyu had built around his heart. She didn't just heal him; she reminded him of the beauty in life, in laughter, and in love.

As they sat together, planning their ice cream party, Abhimanyu couldn't help but marvel at the bond they shared. In a world where he felt alone, Roohi had become his anchor, pulling him back into the light.

Abhimanyu: (kissing her forehead) Thank you, Rooh. You really are my sunshine.

Roohi:(snuggling closer) And you're my Poppy! Forever and ever!

The room filled with laughter once more, as Abhimanyu realised that even in the midst of heartache, there was always room for love. With Rooh by his side, he knew he could face anything the world threw at him. Together, they would create a new story—one filled with joy, laughter, and unbreakable bonds.

As the sun set, casting a warm glow over Udaipur, the duo sat in blissful harmony, the darkness that had once clouded Abhimanyu's heart now illuminated by the pure, untainted love of a little girl.
