Rayna POV...
I went into the Denny's where I was having breakfast before work. I walked in and saw who I was meeting.
I sat at the table and looked at him. He looked just the same and I could say I missed him so fucking much besides Jason he was the one the best I ever had.
He looked up from his phone and smiled.
"Hey." he said
"Hey." I said
"So can I see her." he said getting straight to the point
"What makes you want to be in her life now." I said
"I see her on instagram and shit I want to see her in person." he said
"Fuck you, you better be glad I don't got no body to whoop your mother fucking ass." I said
"Why are you so mad you almost got an abortion with her and didn't tell me you was pregnant." he said
When I got pregnant me and Elijah had just broke up I was so sure he would not want to be around. So I decided to get an abortion until my first appointment when I actually saw Braelyn.
"Well I don't want you around my daughter you fucking sell drugs." I said
"Maybe you should do your research cause I own two car dealerships and I never got in trouble for selling drugs and my lawyer says I have a chance to get full custody of her so you gone let me see her or not." he said
"You can't get shit." I said "You don't even know her and she don't know you." I said
"After I show them these pictures of your dirty ass they will hand her over with no problem." he smiled
I stood up threw my water at him and left out. I got into my car and sat there I broke down I didn't even know what type of shit they had on me but I was a little scared.
I didn't even know why all of a sudden he wanted to be around Braelyn when I basically begged when she was a baby, and every time she asked about him. He apparently wanted nothing to do with her and I wasn't going let him be temporary in her life because he could just up and decided to leave again.
I drove to work. I went in my building. I was still in the tears the whole way there. Just the thought of someone trying to take my daughter away.
I put my sunglasses on and and wiped my face. I got out my car and went to the elevator.
"I got your messages." my secretary, Britanny, said
"Um just send them to me I will listen to them later and can you ask my mommy to come here." I said
"Yes." she said "And ok." she said
I went and my office and sat down. I called Ms. Gladis to talk to Braelyn.
"Mommy." she said answering
"Hey." I sniffed
"Hi why you calling so early." she said
"Cause I wanted to talk to you." I said
"Oh well can we go to lunch today." she said
"Maybe ask Ms. Gladis if she want to meet up with me." I said
"She said yes." she said
"Ok." I said "Y'all decide where y'all want to go and what time." I said
"Ok see you later mommy." she said
"Ok mommas." I said
I hung up with her and my mommy came in.
"Hey you been crying what's wrong." she said sitting down
"So Elijah came to our reunion yesterday and he wanted to have breakfast and he talking bout if I don't let him see her he going get full custody and he got proof I am a fucking bad mother." I said
"What the fuck proof he got he don't even know Brae." she said
"I don't even know but I know he is a dead beat dad and even if I did something bad or whatever I have given her love and I am the only parent she actually knows." I said
"Baby if he decide to do some dumb shit we gone fight his ass back." she said
She came over and hugged me.
"I love you." I said
"Love you too momma." she said
Jason POV...
I took a deep breath before I got out the car. I didn't know if she was home but there was a car in the drive way.
I went up to the door and knocked.
"Braelyn go and make sure they not burning." I heard a voice on the other side
The door opened and an older lady looked me up and down.
"Hello may I help you." she said
"Hi is Rayna here." I said
"No may I ask who you are." she aaid
"Does she live here." I said
"Who are you." she said
"Um Jason." I said
"Well she should be home any minute." she said
"Can I wait for her in here." I said
"Um no." she said
"Ma'am I won't do anything to hurt y'all." I said "I will give you my ID and all." I said
She eyed me and stepped aside.
"Keep your ID." she said
"Thank you." I smiled
She mugged the shit out of me. I followed her down a long hallway.
"So what is your name again." she asked
"Jason." I said
"Last name." she said
"Woods." I said
"Um ok well I want you to wait in the kitchen with us." she said "Jason." she said
We went into the kitchen where there was a little girl at the oven with her back to me.
"Ms. Gladis I think they done." she said turning
I couldn't take my eyes off her she looked just like Rayna when she was a kid including the beer belly she had. Her hair was curly all over her head, and she was her color. Everything screamed Rayna.
"Sorry I am late Ms. Gladis." Rayna said walking in the kitchen
"It's ok." the older lady said
"I am so sorry I missed lunch." she said picking up her daughter
She kissed her face.
"Mommy you have a visitor." she said
Rayna turned around and looked at me.
"Oh shit." she said
