Tarah rushed through the school gates, carrying a delivery bag from her part-time job. She had to drop off a package to the school office.
As she turned a corner, she heard a faint cry.
Tarah's heart skipped a beat. She followed the sound to the school's rooftop. On the rooftop's edge, a boy teetered, his eyes closed.
Tarah dropped her bag and sprinted toward him.
"Wait! Don't do it!" she shouted.
The boy opened his eyes, startled.
"Who are you?" he asked, confusion etched on his face.
"I...I'm," she said, breathless.
Everyone gathered there and started making videos. Those who had bullied the boy began to mock him.
The boy's gaze lingered on her, then returned to the ground below.
Tarah's heart ached. "Don't jump, please."
"Why should I care what you think?" he snapped.
Tarah's words poured out, desperate. "You're valuable. Your life matters."
The boy's eyes narrowed. "You don't know me."
"I may not," Tarah said, "but I care."
With gentle hands, Tarah coaxed him away from the edge.
Boy's voice trembled. "They won't stop. They'll never stop."
"Let's talk," she urged.
The boy hesitated, then stepped back.
As they stood safely away from the edge, Tarah asked, "What's your name?"
"Aryan," he muttered.
Just then, Two boys Nitin and Aadi appeared.
"What's happening?" Nitin asked, alarm etched on his face.
Tarah explained, her voice firm.
Aadi's expression darkened. "We'll take care of it."
Nitin nodded. "We'll help you, Aryan."
Aryan's eyes widened. "You don't understand."
Mrs. Shalini Jain The principal arrived, concern etched on her face.
Tarah watched as Aryan walked away with the principal, feeling a sense of relief.
Aadi turned to Tarah. "Thanks for saving him."
Tarah smiled weakly. "Anyone would have done the same."
After that, Tarah picked up her bag and headed back to work after delivering the order.
