Today was the day - Confirmation of admission at Oakwood high school.

Tarah woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring in her ear. She groggily reached over to turn it off, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

She swung her legs over the side of the bed, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Her stomach fluttered as she thought about the unknown.

"Tarah, get up! You don't want to be late," her mother, Vinita, called out from the kitchen.

"I'm up, Mummy!" Tarah replied, tossing off her blanket.

Tarah began her morning routine, brushing her teeth and taking a bath. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, taking a deep breath.

"You've got this, Tarah," she whispered to herself.

In her room, Tarah carefully chose her outfit - a simple white top and dark jeans. She wanted to make a good impression.

Downstairs, the aroma of freshly cooked breakfast filled the air. Vinita had made Rajma Chawal.

"Eat quickly, beta," Raj said, glancing at his watch. "We need to leave soon."

Tarah nodded, eating quickly. Vihaan, her brother, smiled encouragingly.

"You'll do great, Tarah. Just be yourself."

Tarah smiled back, feeling a surge of gratitude.

After breakfast, Tarah grabbed her backpack and double-checked the documents required for addmission confirmation.

"Let's go," Raj said, handing her a water bottle.

As they walked to the bus stop, Tarah's anxiety began to simmer. What if she didn't fit in? What if the teachers were strict?

Raj, sensing her unease, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "You'll be fine, Tarah. Just remember, this is an opportunity."

Tarah nodded, taking a deep breath.

The bus ride was uneventful, with Tarah lost in thought. Vihaan's words echoed in her mind: "Be yourself."

As they arrived at Oakwood High, Tarah's eyes widened. The school's imposing structure and manicured lawns intimidated her.

"Wow," she whispered.

Raj smiled. "Impressive, isn't it?"

Inside, the office was bustling with parents and students. Tarah's heart raced as they joined the queue.

A receptionist greeted them. "Welcome! You must be Tarah. We've been expecting you."

Tarah smiled nervously.

The receptionist led them to a conference room where a panel of teachers and administrators waited.

"Hello, Tarah," said Mrs. Shalini Jain, the principal. "We're delighted to confirm your admission."

Tarah's hands trembled slightly as she handed over the documents.

The confirmation process was efficient, with Mrs. Shalini explaining the school's expectations and policies.

As they finished, Tarah felt a sense of relief wash over her.

"Well done, Tarah," Raj said, beaming.

Vihaan grinned. "You're officially an Oakwood High student!"

Tarah smiled, feeling a glimmer of pride.

Raj checked his watch. "Time for us to go. Your first class starts soon."

Tarah's stomach fluttered.

Vinita hugged her tightly. "We love you, beta. Call us after school."

Tarah nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat.

As her family left, Tarah took a deep breath and began her journey through Oakwood High's corridors.

She found her locker, fumbling with the combination.

A friendly voice behind her said, "Need help?"

Tarah turned to face Mrs. Patel, her guidance counselor.

"Welcome, Tarah! I'll show you to your classroom."

Tarah smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude.

Mrs. Patel led her to her first class, introducing her to the teacher.

Tarah took her seat, her heart still racing.

But as the teacher began the lesson, Tarah's nerves started to settle.

Tarah stepped into the school hallway, her eyes scanning the crowded corridor. Suddenly, she saw him.

Aditya Kapoor, the school's heartthrob, stood leaning against his locker, surrounded by admirers.

Tarah's heart skipped a beat.

Aditya's chiseled features, piercing brown eyes, and charming smile captivated her.

She felt drawn to him like a magnet.

As their eyes met, Tarah's world froze.

But Aditya's gaze passed over her, his smile reserved for the girls fawning around him.

Tarah's face flushed.

She was just another face in the crowd.

Every girl in school loved Aditya.

He was rich, charming, and famous.

Tarah couldn't compete.

Yet, she couldn't look away.

Aditya's laughter echoed through the hallway.

Tarah's heart ached.

She knew she'd fallen deeply in love, at first sight.

With a boy who didn't even notice her.
