The house was dark, the only light source was the moons' gentle light. The soft glow of the moon lit up the living room through the windows, and the shadows that the furniture and other objects made were gently dancing across the room. Malcom was sitting on the couch, scrolling through his phone while trying to keep his eyes open. He was tired, but he was waiting for Angel to come home. After waiting anxiously for a good few minutes, he finally heard the front door open. He looked over into the hallway where Angel was standing with the door open behind him. "Sorry i'm late..." Angel said apologeticly, closing the door and slowly.
Walking over to the couch where Malcom was sitting. "I had overtime at work..." Angel continued while plopping down on the couch next to Malcom, letting out a sigh while doing so. "It's alright," Malcom answered while moving closer to Angel, wrapping an arm around him and pulling him closer. Angel looked over at Malcom and smiled at him, leaning his head against his shoulder while snuggling further into his chest.
"God, i'm so tired," Angel mumbled, closing his eyes and nuzzling his face into his shirt. Malcom let out a soft sigh, gently running his fingers through Angel's hair. He let out a soft hum, enjoying the comfortable and calming feeling of having Angel so close to him. They were simply sitting there in comfortable silence, just enjoying each others presence and the warmth that came with it.
After a while of comfortable silence, Malcom noticed how Angel was beginning to shiver slightly from the cold. "Are you cold?" He asked, slightly tightening his grip around him. "A bit.." Angel mumbled, pressing himself closer to Malcom's chest. Malcom hummed in response, gently running his hand up and down Angel's arm in an attempt to warm him up.
"Just a bit?" Malcom said, noticing how Angel was clearly shivering. "Okay. Maybe i am more than 'just a bit' cold," Angel answered, wrapping an arm around Malcom's waist and clinging onto him more as a cold shiver ran through his body again
Malcom chuckled softly, hearing his confession. "Why didn't you say that you were cold in the first place?" He asked, his hand still gently rubbing up and down on Angel's arm, hoping it would warm him up a bit. "I didn't want to bother you.." Angel mumbled, his voice getting slightly muffled since he had buried his face into Malcom's chest
"You know you're not bothering me," Malcom replied, gently tilting Angel's head up so he could look at him. Seeing his face, he noticed the exhaustion and tiredness in his eyes, making him frown slightly. "You look exhausted," he said, worried, gently cupping Angel's cheek in his hand
"I am..it was a long day at work..." Angel responded, leaning into the touch. "And you're freezing cold," Malcom added, feeling how cold Angel's skin was with his hand. "I know..." Angel mumbled, his eyes falling shut from exhaustion
Malcom shook his head softly, a mixture of worry and affection clear in his expression. "Come here," he said gently, his arms opening slightly. Angel didn't protest and instead allowed himself to be pulled to sit on Malcom's lap with his back against his chest. Malcom wrapped his arms tightly around Angel, pulling him close against his body in an attempt to warm him up
Angel let out a sigh of relief, feeling the warmth from Malcom's body seeping into his own. He leaned his head back against his shoulder, feeling instantly warmer. Malcom held him close, slowly rubbing his hands up and down Angel's sides in an attempt to warm him up even more. Angel let out a content hum, feeling safe and comforted wrapped up in Malcom's arms.
After a few moments of comfortable silence and Malcom running his hands up and down Angel's sides, he spoke up. "You're so cold.." he mumbled, his voice gentle and worried. "I told you I know.." Angel mumbled back, his eyes still closed. Malcom hummed in response, still rubbing his hands up and down his sides, trying to warm him up even more. "You should've said something about you being so cold..." he said, feeling slightly guilty for not noticing sooner
