The concert hall still buzzed with the lingering energy of the performance as Taehyung leaned back in his seat, his heart racing. ZENITH had just finished their final song, and the crowd's cheers were deafening. Taehyung had seen Jungkook on stage for the first time truly seeing him and the boy he knew, the quiet and slightly awkward Jungkook, had transformed into someone else entirely. The power of his voice, the way he commanded the stage, and the chemistry he had with the audience it left Taehyung speechless.

As the lights dimmed and the members of ZENITH waved goodbye to their adoring fans, Taehyung found himself clapping harder than he ever thought he would. He wasn't just impressed he was in awe. Jungkook had always been talented, but seeing him up there, in his element, made Taehyung feel like he was witnessing a side of him that few people truly got to see. The concert hall slowly began to clear out, and Taehyung stood up, stretching out his tired legs. He glanced around, searching for a familiar face.

With the crowd thinning, Taehyung decided to make his way backstage. Jungkook had told him before the show that he could come to see them afterward. He hoped Jungkook still meant that. The security guard at the door recognized him and let him through with a nod. Taehyung felt a bit out of place as he made his way down the narrow corridor, hearing voices and laughter coming from ZENITH's dressing room. The air was charged with post-show excitement, and for a moment, Taehyung hesitated, wondering if he should even be here. But before he could turn back, the door swung open, and there stood Jungkook, slightly out of breath, a towel slung around his neck, his hair damp from sweat.

"Tae!" Jungkook's eyes lit up the moment he saw him, and he broke into a wide grin. Taehyung smiled, a little nervous. "Yeah, of course. You guys were... amazing. Seriously." Jungkook flushed, wiping his forehead with the towel. "Thanks. It was a good crowd tonight." Before Taehyung could respond, the other members of ZENITH appeared behind Jungkook, still riding the high of their performance.

As the other members of ZENITH continued to joke around and unwind, Namjoon subtly pulled Jungkook aside. Taehyung, though trying not to listen, couldn't help but overhear a bit of their conversation. "Jungkook," Namjoon said quietly, his tone serious, "I don't know what's going on with you and this guy, but be careful. You've always been the one to follow the rules, and you know how this industry works. Don't let this... thing mess with your career."

Jungkook's expression tightened, and he gave a small nod. "I know, hyung. It's nothing. Just... don't worry." Namjoon gave him a long look, then patted his shoulder. "Alright. Just be smart, okay?" With that, Namjoon clapped Jungkook on the shoulder and rejoined the others, leaving Jungkook standing there looking a little troubled. Taehyung pretended he hadn't heard anything, but a sense of unease settled in his stomach.

The conversation in the dressing room eventually turned to lighter topics, with the members joking about mistakes made during the concert or their plans for the weekend.

Taehyung mostly stayed quiet, observing the group dynamic. It was clear that ZENITH was more than just a band they were a family. Even with the pressures of fame and the constant scrutiny of the public eye, there was a closeness between them that Taehyung could feel, even from the outside. But as the night wore on, Taehyung started to feel more and more like he didn't belong. These boys had their own world one filled with concerts, fan meetings, and the relentless demands of the entertainment industry. And while Jungkook had invited him here, Taehyung couldn't shake the feeling that he was intruding on something.

Eventually, he decided it was time to leave. "I should probably head out," Taehyung said, standing up. "It's getting late, and I need to get home." Jungkook looked up, a flicker of something like disappointment in his eyes. "Oh... right. Yeah, okay." Taehyung gave him a small smile, feeling a little awkward. "You did great tonight. I'm glad I got to see you perform."

"Thanks," Jungkook said, his voice quiet. He hesitated for a moment, then added, "Wait, can I walk you out?"

Taehyung blinked in surprise. "You don't have to—"

"I want to," Jungkook insisted, already moving toward the door. "Come on, I'll walk you to the taxi." Not wanting to argue, Taehyung nodded and followed Jungkook out of the dressing room. The hallway outside was quieter now, with most of the staff and fans having left. They walked in silence for a while, the only sound being the distant hum of the venue's lights. As they reached the entrance to the backstage area, Jungkook slowed down, glancing around as if checking to make sure no one was watching. Then, without warning, he grabbed Taehyung's wrist and pulled him into a small alcove near the exit.

They walked in silence for a while, the echoes of their footsteps the only sound. Taehyung wasn't sure what to say, and Jungkook seemed lost in his own thoughts. The tension from Namjoon's words still hung in the air, and Taehyung couldn't shake the feeling that he was somehow out of place here like he was intruding on a world that wasn't his. When they reached the exit, Jungkook suddenly stopped and turned to face him, his expression serious. "Taehyung... about what Namjoon-hyung said—"

"It's fine," Taehyung interrupted, not wanting to make things more awkward than they already were. "I get it. You have a lot on your plate, and I'm not trying to complicate things." Jungkook frowned, his brows furrowing. "No, that's not what I meant. I just... I don't know how to explain it."

Taehyung waited, sensing that Jungkook was struggling with something. "I feel like... things are different with you," Jungkook said quietly, his gaze dropping to the floor. "I don't know why, but when I'm around you, I don't feel like I have to follow the rules. And that scares me."

Taehyung's heart skipped a beat. He wasn't sure how to respond, so he simply stood there, watching as Jungkook wrestled with his own thoughts. "But I can't stop thinking about you," Jungkook admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "And I know it's probably not a good idea, but... I don't care." Before Taehyung could process what was happening, Jungkook took a step closer. His eyes locked onto Taehyung's, and for a brief moment, the world seemed to freeze. Then, without warning, Jungkook leaned in and pressed his lips to Taehyung's.

The kiss was soft and felt like he was made of glass like Jungkook wasn't entirely sure of what he was doing. Taehyung's eyes widened in shock, his body frozen as he tried to make sense of what was happening. His heart raced, and for a moment, everything else faded away Namjoon's warning, the pressures of Jungkook's career, the confusion that had been building between them.

But just as quickly as it had begun, the kiss ended. Jungkook pulled back, his eyes wide with a mixture of fear and uncertainty. He looked like he wanted to say something, but no words came out. Instead, he turned and bolted down the hallway, disappearing around the corner before Taehyung could even think to call after him.

Taehyung stood there, stunned and breathless, his fingers brushing against his lips where the kiss had been. His mind raced, but one thought kept repeating over and over again.

What just happened?

As he stood there, alone in the empty hallway, Taehyung realized that everything between them had just changed whether for better or for worse, he had no idea. But one thing was certain: nothing would ever be the same again.
