Ever since Sabre had been exiled, all steves, but especially the orange steves, had been more nervous, more sombre... less colourful.

But oddly. Every Ftiday, the orange steves would become more nervous. Not like the panicked nervous that the other steves had, but an excited nervous.

The only leader to know why was the Orange Leader. But he did not part with the information. Nor did Light steve, the only other steve of such a high ranking where he could remain in meetings and give his opinion and viewpoint.

In the citadel, it was as xalm as it could be. Some steves were getting ready with shopping for the next seven day-night cycles. Others (orange steves and only orange steves) were preparing for something. They had books open that they were writing bits in and were having discussions.

It was a Friday, naming the at seemed odd to the steves. They already knew of the day-night cycle, but Sabre's people, players, had named the days. Or 7 of them. They then put into a list that they then repeated once the list had reached its end.

However, one orage steve had an idea.

"What if we got a permit for darkness?"

As only orange steves were in the area, they heard the question posed. They understood what their friend had asked.

"Wait. That might work...

Because then spreading the darkness would be considered business , "

"Nerdy! Are we sure this will- "

"Yes! It will!

Does anyone have a spare form? And we need to tell Leader!"

"I have a form. I was going to use it for my fish shop, but this is a better cause."

"Yeah... we might get Sabre back with it as well, and the other steves that were infected!"

"I'm telling Leader!"

With that, the orange steves dispersed. A plan had been formed, and they had to get ready for Saturday.

The permit office was only open for so long after all.

---

Some of the other chromatic steves were questioning what had gotten the orage steves so excited.

But when whispers had spread of an interaction two had with their leader produced even more questions...

"Did you hear-"

"I didn't think,"

"Apparently, they may have-"

"The darkness, really are you sure you aren't just-"

"Their leader just-"

"Permit office?"

"Controlling darkness? That can't be-"

"They must he on something."

"Trip-
Every Saturday?"

As whispers filled the streets, the orange steves began to exit the walls of the citadel.

Some had nearly gotten pulled out for questioning, but they all had managed to escape the crowds for another day.

Soon, empty chatter filled the air as the orage steves, whilst yes they were still nervous about darkness attacking them, they were excited to see Sabre. After all, Sabre would never let them down with the permit office.

"Woo! Permit time!"

"Do you think Void will be there again?"

"Again? What did he do last time?"

"Demand control back, and he got sent downstairs-
It was so funny you have to see it if it happens again."

"You won't be disappointed."

"Wait-
Is Void being there why Light is joining us."

"Not fully."

"Huh?"

"LIGHT IS GONNA GET A PERMIT FOR-"

"Quieten down a bit! That was right in my ear Loud!"

As they walked through the forest, they soon came to a familiar pathway. One that was enchanted to not let darkness be summoned inside of its boarders. It also made it difficult for non-sentient darkness to enter.

They followed the pathway to a slightly run-down building. Paint was peeling on the outside, and the bushes were overgrown enough to quieten down the humming of machinery from the air vents.

Walking up to the door, the orage steves that were here last week checked through the glass and-

Void was standing in one of the little separated sections. Based on his movements, body language, and arm gestures, he was having a big argument (or trying to) with Sabre-
Not Shadow. Sabre.

As they opened the door, cool air descended upon themBasedand the argument could be heard,

"I swear if you don't-"

At that moment, Sabre let out a big sigh, and he took notice of the orage steves. Facing Void, he pulled out a familiar music disc.

"I'm sorry, Void, buy I'm going to have to put you on hold."

Soon, the hauntingly and annoyingly familiar music filled their ears.

Looks like they would have to put up with this whilst getting their new permits sorted.

How annoying.

At least seeing Void's expression was worth it.
