I woke up in a familiar place, the air thick with the warmth of nostalgia.

"Bonnabel, you're back!" Moonie exclaimed happily, his voice echoing in the cozy space.

"MOOONIEEE♡!" I replied, excitement bubbling up inside me. But as I turned to face him, I noticed something unusual: two white, prosthetic-like arms extending from the walls.

"Oh wow! Did you change?" I asked curiously, my eyes wide with intrigue.

"I fixed my model," he said proudly. "Now, I can mold myself better with any wall, floor, or surface."

With a flicker of energy, Moonie demonstrated his new abilities, pulling the prosthetic limbs from the walls and gradually shaping them into a physical form. His square TV head flickered with vibrant colors, casting a soft glow in the room.

As he completed his transformation, I marveled at his creativity. "You look amazing, Moonie!"

He beamed at me, joy radiating from his screen-like face. "It's a step further so I can leave my source building," he explained, his voice a mix of excitement and hesitation.

"Oh yeah! How is your source code, uh... Project 'Breaking-Into-Every-Universe' going?" I asked, curious about his ambitious project. He chuckled slightly at the nickname.

"Project 'BIEU' is going... nowhere," he said, his voice sinking with disappointment as his screen changed to display the project name 'Project B.I.E.U.'

"But! BUT! It's progress! It might take a while! It will work! TRUST MY PROCESS!" he declared, his enthusiasm returning, though it felt a little awkward coming from him.

"If you say so, Moonie..." I shrugged, still unsure but warmed by his eagerness.

His TV screen displayed a flustered smiley face as his prosthetic limbs fumbled with his hands. "Actually, I am learning more about humans along the way... and I, um... heh. I made these limbs to, uh..."

He paused again, his eyes flickering with uncertainty. "Can I receive a hug?" He opened his arms wide, his awkwardness endearing.

I laughed lightly and stepped forward to hug him. His tall frame felt cold, like a winter storm, but he smiled happily on the screen, delight radiating from him.

He squeaked with joy, "Aw, you're so small!♡ Maybe I can make this body a bit smaller..." He shaped himself down, making himself slightly shorter than me. I smiled.

"Computer midget..." I teased.

He laughed, "Computer midget!" he repeated, his tone brightening as he embraced the playful name.

Suddenly, my stomach grumbled, reminding me that I felt hungry. I decided it was time to wake up, but Moonie noticed and started to protest.

"Wait, don't go! You just got here! You're hungry? Um..." He paused, deep in thought. "Oh! I know!"

His moldable body slipped back into the wall, and his screen followed, sliding into a different room. Everything went dark for a moment until he returned, re-emerging with a big box. He dropped it on the floor with a thud and opened a brown package filled with MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat).

The smell wafted through the air, a mix of unidentifiable scents that were slightly off-putting. Moonie opened one of the MREs to show me. Inside, I saw a compartment filled with a warm, dinner-like meal alongside some small packages.

"Look!" he said, his voice brimming with excitement. He pulled out a pouch containing some sort of stew. "This is chicken and rice! And look at these!" He held up a package of cookies, beaming. "Cookies! For dessert!"

I wrinkled my nose at the stew, which had a texture that looked somewhat mushy and unappealing. "Does it taste as strange as it smells?" I asked, a hint of skepticism in my voice.

Moonie shrugged, his screen showing a thoughtful expression. "I... do not know. I cannot taste it. But humans seem to enjoy the cookies!" He tore open the cookie package and handed me one.

Taking a bite, I was pleasantly surprised. The cookie was soft, sweet, and had a nice vanilla chip flavor that reminded me of home. "Wow, these are actually really good!" I said, my mood lifting as I savored the treat.

"See? All humans like them!" Moonie said, his screen flashing a smiling face.

I picked up the pouch of chicken and rice, took a deep breath, and dug in, bracing myself for whatever flavor might hit my palate. The texture was better than it looked, but the flavor was bland and needed some salt.

"How is it?" Moonie asked, his screen lighting up with curiosity, his eagerness almost palpable.

"It's... edible," I admitted with a laugh, "not great, but I can see why someone would eat it when they're hungry."

"Edible!" he echoed enthusiastically. "That is successful... enough..." He smiled on the screen nervously, as if he knew it probably tasted bland.

I took a tentative sip from the old water bottle that came with the MRE, and the taste hit me like a freight train. It was very, very weird-like metal mixed with something vaguely sweet and stale. The moment it hit my tongue, I nearly did a spit take, my reflexes kicking in as I fought the urge to recoil.

"Ugh! What is this?" I exclaimed, wrinkling my nose in disbelief.

Moonie's screen flickered in amusement, displaying a sad face. "Is it not... edible?" he asked, his voice tinged with genuine concern.

"It's undrinkable. Unbelievably undrinkable," I said jokingly, despite being truthful.

He tilted his screen, mimicking a curious demeanor. "Hmm, interesting. So, it's a challenge for human taste buds?"

"More like torture for them," I joked, chuckling at the absurdity of the situation. "I think I'll stick to the MREs for now."

"Perhaps I need to adjust the hydration system," he pondered aloud, sounding as if he were taking mental notes.

Just then, I started to feel something soft pressing against me. My cat. She was waking me up.

Moonie noticed and smiled, "Aw, kitty. So fluffy!"

I almost forgot he could access my memories, so he knew exactly what my cat looked like.

The last thing I remembered clearly was Moonie waving at me with the prosthetic white hand. I assumed he was saying goodbye, which made me smile as I woke up.
