Seven years has gone by since graduation. Many people new about what he did in the war, at first so many people came up to him and thanked him for what he did, but over time it slowed. He occasionally has people come up to him. Many kids back then didn't know much of details so most of them don't really know he was a hero. Well, hero in training that saved Japan. Many parents with kids under ten didn't allow them to watch. It was gruesome to say the least. He does have a statue of him in his hero costume, but it was with his mask so the younger generation doesn't know it was him. Doesn't even say his real name. Just 'Hero Deku Savior of Japan'.
All media on the war was taken down so him and his classmates didn't have people asking questions about it. They didn't want to relive it more than they already have to.
Of course there's probably a few videos still around, people probably have stuff on their phones, but the younger generations were kinda kept in the dark. They knew bare minimum, which was nice as Izuku was a teacher now.
His classmates split off to agencies that wanted them. Denki, Mina, Katsuki, Tokoyami and Jirou all went to Hawk's agency. Even though he is quirkless, he still runs everything he just isn't out in the field.
They have been working on prosthetic wings for him that they would surgically implant with feathers that can be thrown like blades, but it is still in the works. Not that he wants it rushed, he's liking the job of running things but not having to do any physical work.
From the sounds of it, all of his friends like it there, even though Katsuki wanted to go to Best Jeanist agency for reasons he couldn't. Of course, Hawks and Katsuki regularly but heads, but Hawks knows his ability and strength so he keeps him around.
Tsu, Koda, Ojiro, and Sato went to Gang orcas agency. They definitely fit in there and are happy with their choice. Eijiro and Hanta went to Fat Gums agency with some friends from class B, he enjoyed working along side Tamaki and Tetsutetsu.
Shoto took over his father's agency, after his father retired...ish. He's still around but he has been focusing on family. Jirou and Momo joined that agency as well.
Tenya has took over at his brothers agency, keeping it up and running. Ochaco joined him to help which he appreciates.
Other classmates went to different agencies or, like Mineta, bounced around. Pun intended.
The first couple of years they were all still very close with Izuku. Always dropping by the school with gifts or food. To have conversations about life, annoying Aizawa who they now call by his first name just to piss him off. But slowly, fewer and fewer of his friends stopped by.
He knew it would happen. Life would go on and they would see less of each other. Izuku was just a teacher while all his friends were off keeping the country safe. Still didn't feel good though.
He kept in touch with few. Ochaco and Shoto would still swing by regularly, by his apartment or by the school after the students leave. They don't like causing a scene and Izuku greatly appreciates that.
Katsuki and him were still very close. They did live together and all. If the older him told his middle school self that him and Katsuki would be roommates in the future, and that they got along for the most part, his younger self probably would go up in flames and pass out. Mostly because middle school him had a big fat crush on the blonde before he even knew what it meant.
Izuku chuckled to himself as he left his and Katsuki's two bedroom apartment. The blonde left early that morning, rushing out the door because Hawk's called him in for something urgent.
It was a warm, crisp Friday morning. Around 7:30am, thirty minutes until his class started. U.A was in walking distance of their apartment as they intended. About a ten minute walk.
