Indestructible

confuseing love part 1

Day 1-
It happened at camp Long- Bridge, to be honest it was supposed to be punishment, for both me and my best friend Kay. Well not intentionally but we dont like nature!

"Are you excited?" My mom asked us, she was like way overly cheerful. Kay and I shrugged I mean what were we supposed to do lie? Anyways my mom took us to our cabin which was nice besides the fact that there were spiderwebs practicaly blanketing the place, and that mom wouldnt leave!

"I cant believe you two, have grown up so much!" She said wipeing a tear from her eye.
"Yeah bye"i said. My mom scowled at me but left, after another 15 minutes. After she left I layed down on my bed. Kay was on her cell phone.

"Omg Jakes here!" She said. Jake was some guy who went to our school, that she had a crush on.... call me a bad friend but I had never seen him before. Now kay was hopping out of her bed, and running to the door. I followed closely behind. Then we ran smack dab into liam Sedar.

"I cant believe your here!" liam squealed. We grimmaced. We didnt like liam, he was very annoying....

"Cant believe your here either..." I said.

"Im sooooo excited whos you bunkie? Kay? I should have guessed! Im with Jake!" He said. Kay was back on her phone, she didnt even noice the guy comeing up behind liam whom I asumed was jake. To be honest he looked pretty plain, brown khair brown eyes pale skin....

"Hey!" He said smileing. His eyes met mine. Kay looked up squealed and practicaly pounced on him.

"Easy there!" He said laughing. Kay smiled stepping back and liam frowned, because he liked Kay.

"Hi Im Tera!" I said smileing.Jake smiled, it looked awkward because he was an inch taller than me I was used to be taller than people!

"Like you terra paper, tear-a, get it?" I dont get it and Kay tries to explain it to me.

"Oh I get it im slow...." I say after I get it.i smile at Jake and he smiled back.

"He likes you!" Liam says smileing, he jokeing but I want jake to like me..... I have no idea why but I do!

Day 2-

I woke up at 5:00, from the camp counsolers trumpet. Its inhumane wakeing up that early! The breakfast was cold. Kay and I were shivering in line, the dew was soaking my tennis shoes.

"Hey!" Jake said he was behind us in lin with liam.
"Whats up?" I ask rubbing my arms quickly. He cocks his eyebrow.
"Not much.." he said. I nodded and sneezed.We got our breakfast and sat down at one of the wooden picnic tables covered in bird poop. Kay and him seemed to laugh alot in the conversation, I guess they text alot. I know it wasnt right to feel jealous but I did. When Kay went to throw away her trash I asked Jake what I had been dieing to know.

"Do you have a crush on Kay?" Jake smiled.

"No!" He said." But I do have a crush on sombody"

During the morning run I was exhausted, Jake kept on pointing out stupid things to me. I made sarcatic responses.
After the running the camp made the girls split from the boys to play capture the falg against each other.

"Do you really think Jake likes you?"im asked kay we were on flag duty.

"Yeah hes just pretending he doesnt! It makes me so mad hes a different person when we text!"she yelled.

" like what?" I said. Kay pointed.

"Look hes with her..." she said." Its his girlfiend, I didnt know she was here!"

My heart dropped. Part of me wanted him to have had crush on me but it obviously had to be his girlfriend!

"I dont like her" I said. They were whispering and holding hands.

"For gods sakes this is war!" Kay said. I wasnt sure if she was talking about them being together, or capture the flag. Inhad to tell her.

" I think I have a crush on Jake!" I blirted. She smiled at me kindly, and sadly.
"Yeah he has that effect...ooofff" Kay fell over. Before I could react the boys team had the falg. None othere than jake holding it.

"Im gonna kill you!" Kay said, as he helped her up. But he was already runing to his side ofmthe field. I took off after him and managed to wrestle the flag from his hand. But then he tickled me and I let got out of breath. I was kindof sad that we lost, but then tingly because he had touched me.
Later at the campfire he sat next to me. His girlfriend Sarah was accross from us, smileing at him. I looked on his arm, he had a cut, so I reached down and touched his arm trying to see it.

"Are you ok, thats a bad cut." I said. He looked at me shocked pulling back his arm my heart dropped.

"Yeah" he said, smileing. He held his arm out for me to hold but I didnt touch it again.

"Oh my gosh look, atthe camo counselor! " kay said pointing. She was on Jakes other side. The counselor had a bare costume on.

"Lets sing the camp song!" He squealed! To be honest he was doing way to much there was nobody under the age of 14 here sooooo he didnt have to go all halloween on us. Jakes, knee touched mine and it stayed. I felt the tingles again. His hand accidentaly brushed mine about 5 times. I couldnt focus on the song, not that it was good.

"Do you have a crush on anyone at the camp?" He whisphered. I ingnored the question. The camp counselor was doing a weird dance.

"Do you?" He asked.

"I dont know..." I answered. It was the truth I was really unsure about him..... I then excused myself to go to the bathroom.

Day5-

The next three days were pretty low key.... I tried to ignore Jake, and spend time with Liam. I tgink that he noticed because one day when we Kay and I was walking he said, "how do you know liam?"
I shrugged id know liam for years, even though he drove me crazy I was nice to him and he spilled his feelings out to me.
"He basicaly spilled his heart out to me and I listened." I said... trying to walk on the other side of K. Jake had this weird expression. I hadnt told him that liam hated his guts, but I thinknthe feeling was pretty much mutual anyhow...
"Oh...mabey you could give me youe number so that I can spill your heart out to me..." he said.... long story short I didnt...

But today is the last day od camp and I know for sure I like him... as wemeat breakfast we are I see him over near, a frend he met, I ran up behind them and overheard

"Your in love with someone else..." it was bob his friend, he had a loud mouth.
"Yeah.." Jake said.
"like other than your girlfriend?"
"Yep"he said. I stop running and go torwards kay because i dont want to know who it is. I want it to be me!

the day passes by in a blur and when the parents arrive, Jake corners me...
"Soooo I know this dude at camp who has a crush on you..." I feel butterflys, this was supposed to be like this fairy tale moment except, laim was wiyhin earshot, and my mom in sight.
"Ok.." I say.Jake smiles.
"Do you like him back?" He said.
"Ummm that dwpends on who it is..." I say... because I dont know who it is, I mean I have an idea but I dont want to seem like a bozo.... or worse get turned down.... or... I dont know. Jake looksmannoyed and frustrated.

"Ummm do you want to go to the park with me this weekend?" He asked smiling.
"Sure" I said knowing fully well it wasnt happening. He smiled and then left..... my life for the rest of the summer...
