I stumbled through the bushes of the forest as I tried to make it home as fast as possible so I can warn my family of the impending danger that is coming towards them. My head and eye were still full of pain but I refused to stop. A sense of relief eventually crossed over me as the stone wall of my home became visible.

No screams could be heard yet which means I made it on time but that didn't mean we were safe yet. I spotted the gates opening and I was confused. Immediately I dashed into a bush and waited only to see my uncle Obidio appear moments later. Ignoring the headache I had I ran towards him and tackled him to the ground with a hug happy that he was okay.

"Zodion!? Where have you been." He noticed how I was tightening my grip and returned the hug. My other relatives on the patrol were surrounding us and were quick to ask questions about my whereabouts. "Uncle we have to go back." I answered. I heard whispers of confusion from around me as my uncle let go of me. "Zodion what are you talking about?"

I looked up and gasps came from my family but my uncle remained silent his mouth slightly agape. "You have it- the shadow dragons curse..." I raised my hand to my eye remembering what happened a few days earlier and shook my head knowing I had to warn my family as quickly as I could. "I don't care about that at this point! I need to warn the rest of our family!"

My uncle seemed hesitant but before he could answer Sadora who is Jackora's mother came from the crowd. "I'll take the boy home." She walked over and offered her hand to me. My uncle stood up and gave her an unsure look. "But we don't even know what he's talking about!" Sadora was about to answer but was interrupted by a loud roar that sounded like thunder.

My uncle's eyes widened in shock as he instinctively grabbed his knife. Sadora quickly grabbed me and started up her akidio to take me back. Within seconds we were flying through the air as Sadora kept me close trying not to drop me as we made our way to Katran. We passed Tovida and I immediately thought of my best friend and the danger his neighbors could be in as we can't have everyone out to warn the entire kingdom.

I nudged Sadora hoping she would notice. She did and landed carefully and let go of me to give a strange glance. "Zodion what could be more important than getting back to warn the family about a dragon?!" I stood shock realizing that I didn't mention how many dragons there were. "It's actually a dozen dragons heading this way."

Sadora's eyes immediately widened with fear. "We don't have time then. Warn those around this area, I'll go and warn the others." I gave her a nod as she quickly started her akidio and took off leaving me to warn a town that covers fifteen percent of the kingdom. I turned and began to run to the closest town which was luckily the capital.

A few people were wandering around or talking which will help me a bit. I began to climb a water fountain that stood in the center ignoring the soaking feeling I got from standing on it. When I got to the top I looked down and noticed how some were looking at me as if I said something horrible about them. "Please listen to me! Dozens of dragons are heading this way! You need to evacuate before it's too late."

Mutters of confusion came from below me and some gave me strange looks of suspicion. "Why should we believe you when you have the shadow dragons curse?" My breath hitched and I covered my eye with my hand. I didn't know what else I could say but within moments thunder began to form. Older folk who were around looked up in horror realizing I was telling the truth. "He's telling the truth we need to leave!" A sweet old lady with four kids announced. "I saw thunder when I was little girl and that's how the great kingdom fell!"

Those who doubted me began to run off screams began to form covering the loud crack of thunder that roamed the sky's. I climbed down from the fountain and prepared to make my way to Katran and explain to my family. I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw it was the same old lady who managed to convince every one of the impending. "You're one of those hunters right?" I nodded noticing how the kids were clinging close to her with fear.
