GRADUATION DAY:

LUCAS:

Today was graduation day, a milestone I had been eagerly anticipating. I finally got to take over the company officially, and it felt surreal. Early in the morning, I called Annabeth, excitement bubbling inside me as I realized I hadn't informed her last week during the launch party."Hey, Lucas!" she answered, her voice bright and cheerful."Ann, sweetheart, I forgot to tell you—my grad day is today! You don't have any other plans, right?" I said, hoping she'd be able to celebrate with me."Oh my gosh, I had no idea! I'll inform Seline that I'm taking a day off. I wouldn't miss this for the world!" she replied, her enthusiasm contagious."Great! I was hoping you'd be there. It wouldn't feel right without you." "Of course! So what's the plan? Are you having a big ceremony?" "Yeah, it's at the university auditorium. Afterward, I thought we could grab dinner with my family and maybe some friends," I said, already picturing the day ahead."Perfect! I'll be there. Just make sure to save me a seat!" she teased."I'll reserve the best seat for you," I promised, my heart racing at the thought of seeing her in person. As the day went on, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves. When I arrived at the auditorium, the atmosphere was electric, filled with families and graduates dressed in caps and gowns. I spotted my parents waving at me, and I waved back, a smile breaking across my face. The ceremony began, and as names were called, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride. Each time a friend walked across the stage, cheers erupted from the crowd. Finally, it was my turn. As I walked up to receive my diploma, I glanced into the audience and caught a glimpse of Annabeth, her bright smile lighting up the room. It gave me an extra boost of confidence. After the ceremony, I found Annabeth waiting for me outside, her dress flowing beautifully in the breeze. "Congratulations, graduate!" she exclaimed, wrapping me in a tight hug."Thanks, Ann! It feels amazing to finally be done," I said, feeling the warmth of her embrace linger as we pulled back."Now the real fun begins, right? Taking over the company!" she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement."Exactly! I can't wait to dive into it. I want to make some changes and drive it forward," I replied, enthusiasm bubbling over.As we made our way to the restaurant, I couldn't help but recount some funny moments from the ceremony. "Did you see how nervous Jake was when he tripped on the stage?""Oh my gosh, yes! I thought he was going to faceplant!" Annabeth laughed, her eyes bright. "But he played it off like a pro. That's what I love about him!""Yeah, he's got that charm. But I think you stole the show with your dress," I said, giving her a playful nudge."Flattery will get you everywhere, Lucas," she teased, pretending to toss her hair back dramatically. When we arrived at the restaurant, my family was already seated, and we settled in. As we raised our glasses for a toast, I felt a rush of gratitude for everyone who had supported me, especially Annabeth."To new beginnings!" I declared, looking around the table."To new beginnings!" everyone echoed, and I felt Annabeth's hand gently squeeze mine under the table.Later, as the dinner went on, I leaned closer to her. "So, how do you feel about being my right-hand woman at the company? I could use your expertise.""Nah,i am planning on taking business law," she replied, her playful grin returning."then, you do the legal work for our company.," I added, chuckling."i will collect a hefty amount though," she said, a mock-serious expression on her face."ready to pay em' " I laughed, feeling a warm sense of contentment. Today wasn't just a celebration of my graduation; it was the beginning of a new chapter for both of us.
