ANNABETH:

The night had been a long one , leaving me utterly exhausted by the time I finally drifted off to sleep. I stirred awake the next morning, the sun peeking through the curtains, casting warm golden rays across the room. My mind was still foggy with remnants of the night's festivities, and the softness of my sheets tempted me to stay nestled in bed just a little longer.Just then, the gentle aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, pulling me from my slumber. I blinked the sleep from my eyes, and before I could fully grasp the morning, Lucas appeared at the door, a charming smile on his face and a tray of breakfast in his hands. "Good morning, sleepyhead!" he said, his voice bright and cheerful, cutting through the haze of my dreams. The sight of him, standing there with a perfectly plated breakfast and a steaming cup of coffee, made my heart skip a beat. He had outdone himself: fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and a stack of golden pancakes drizzled with maple syrup. "Wow, you really know how to spoil a girl," I replied, grinning as he set the tray down beside me. As I took a sip of the rich, aromatic coffee, I felt the warmth seep into my bones, gradually shaking off the remnants of sleep. "Oh, just wait! There's more!" Lucas said, reaching behind him to reveal a beautiful dress draped over his arm. "I figured you might want to wear this today. Thought it'd look perfect on you."My eyes widened in surprise. It was a stunning sundress, vibrant and colorful, the kind that danced in the breeze. I couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth and gratitude. "You're incredible," I said, my heart swelling with appreciation. After changing into the dress, I felt a newfound energy coursing through me. Lucas's eyes lit up as he saw me twirl, the fabric swirling around my legs. "You look amazing!" he exclaimed, his smile wide and genuine.Once I was ready, Lucas walked me to my door, his presence making me feel like I was on top of the world. We exchanged a lingering glance, a moment suspended in time, before he pulled me into a warm embrace. "I've got to get back to work," he said reluctantly, but I could see the hint of a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "I'll save you some pancakes for later," I teased, knowing he couldn't resist them.As he waved goodbye and headed back to his car, I watched him go, a flutter of happiness settling in my chest Today was going to be a good day.
