Under the sprawling branches of an Banyan tree, Virat and Rahul huddled together, seeking shelter from the drizzling rain as they returning from their evening walk. The droplets pattered against the leaves, creating a soothing melody that calmed the senses. But Rahul's eyes sparkled with mischief.
"Can't resist, it's lovely!" he whispered, his voice barely audible over the rain.
Before Virat could react, Rahul darted out from under the tree, arms outstretched, and face tilted toward the sky. Raindrops danced across his skin, tracing creeks down his cheeks and neck.
Virat sighed, shaking his head. "Rahul, you're going to get soaked."
Rahul's laughter echoed through the air, mingling with the rain's harmony. "That's the point! You know how much I love rain!"
Virat's protective instincts kicked in, but he knew better than to try and stop Rahul. His boyfriend's joy was infectious, and Virat couldn't help but smile. Oh how he much he loves this boy!
As Rahul twirled, his clothes clinging to his body, Virat's mind wandered to the inevitable consequences. Tomorrow, Rahul would be sniffling and complaining about a cold. But for now, Virat let him have this moment.
The rain intensified, drumming against the tree's bark. Rahul's hair, usually perfectly styled, now clung to his forehead, framing his radiant face.
"Yaha ayiye" Virat called out, holding open his jacket.
Rahul, reluctant to leave the rain's embrace, hesitated before sprinting back under the tree. Virat enveloped him in a warm hug.
"Dekho kese kamp rahe ho aap!" Virat whispered, his lips brushing Rahul's ear, which sent jolt of electricity down the spine.
Rahul's grin faltered for an instant before he snuggled deeper into Virat's chest. "I have you, my personal heater!"
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the rain's rhythm slowed. Droplets clung to Rahul's eyelashes, sparkling like diamonds. Making his appearance eternal.
"I love rain" Rahul whispered again.
Virat's fingers intertwined with Rahul's, their hands swaying gently. "I know."
In this tranquil moment, Virat realized that Rahul's love for rain wasn't just about the sensation; it was about freedom. Freedom to let go, to be carefree.
As the rain dissipated, leaving behind a misty veil, Virat leaned in, his lips grazing Rahul's.
"Let's go and get you dry," Virat murmured.
Rahul nodded, still smiling.
Together, they walked hand-in-hand, leaving the Banyan tree's shelter, ready to face whatever tomorrow brought.

Time skip:
Rahul sneezed as he snuggled into the couch, his body aching with a familiar fatigue. Virat's concerned gaze met his.
"Kaha tha na!" Virat said softly, handing Rahul a steaming cup of tea.
Rahul accepted it, his hands trembling slightly. "Sirf cold hua h!"
Virat's eyes narrowed. "You're not going to work tomorrow."
Rahul opened his mouth to protest, but Virat's firm tone brooked no argument.
"Well it's Sunday anyway!" Rahul muttered.
As the night wore on, Rahul's condition worsened. Virat fetched blankets, medicated tea, and soup, treating Rahul with tender care.
