When Alex's family finally arrived, the excitement in Yarfa's house was palpable. Her parents greeted them warmly, and the two families began exchanging polite conversations. Yarfa, on the other hand, was feeling more nervous than ever. Zara, her loyal friend, kept nudging her, whispering, "Dekho Yarfa, tum kitni cute lag rahi ho. Alex toh tumhe dekh ke pagal ho jayega." (Look, Yarfa, you're looking so cute. Alex will go crazy seeing you.)
As the families talked, Alex found a way to sneak a moment with Yarfa. He pulled her aside for a quick, secret conversation in the corner of the large, beautifully decorated living room.
"Tum itni nervous kyun ho? Main bhi yahaan tumhare liye nervous hoon," (Why are you so nervous? I'm also nervous here for you), Alex whispered softly, leaning in close so no one else could hear.
Yarfa looked at him, surprised. "Tum? Nervous? Tum toh itne confident lag rahe the." (You? Nervous? You seemed so confident.)
Alex smirked, shaking his head. "Bahar se confident lagta hoon, lekin andar se main bhi apne aapko samajhne ki koshish kar raha hoon. Tumhe dekhne ke baad, main samajh nahi pa raha hoon ke main kitna lucky hoon." (I may look confident from the outside, but inside, I'm also trying to understand myself. After seeing you, I can't believe how lucky I am.)
Yarfa's heart fluttered at his words, her shyness making her blush again. She looked down, not knowing what to say.
"Ek aur baat batani hai tumhe," Alex added in a serious tone, leaning in even closer. "Main mafia ka hissa hoon." (There's one more thing I need to tell you. I'm part of the mafia.)
For a moment, Yarfa froze. This was exactly what she had always wanted-danger, excitement, and someone powerful by her side. But she hadn't expected him to admit this so soon. Alex watched her closely, waiting for her reaction, expecting her to pull away or get scared.
But instead, Yarfa's blush deepened, and she smiled. "Tumhe lagta hai ke main dar jaungi? Main toh aur khush hoon. Mere sapnon mein hamesha ek mafia type ladka hota tha." (You think I'd be scared? I'm even happier. I've always dreamed of having a mafia-type guy.)
Alex laughed softly, amazed at how perfectly they matched. "Tum toh meri expectations se bhi zyada amazing nikli." (You're even more amazing than I expected.)
Yarfa smiled shyly, her heart racing. They shared a few more secret words, their connection deepening with each conversation.
