Before the day of the presentation, Hao felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. He had texted Hanbin a few days earlier, asking for some information about him under the guise of preparing for a project.

Hao: “Hey, can you send me some information about yourself? Like your birthday and hobbies?”

Hanbin quickly replied, unaware that Hao already knew everything about him from social media.

Hanbin: “Sure! My birthday is June 13, 2001. I like playing soccer, cooking (especially pasta), and I love hiking. Oh, and my favorite color is blue.”

Hao chuckled to himself, thinking, I already knew all of that. He appreciated how easy it was to gather details about Hanbin but had to maintain his cover, so he quickly typed back.

Hao: “Thanks! That’s perfect! Here’s mine: My birthday is July 25. I play the piano, cello, viola, and violin. My favorite color is pink, and I love going to cafes.”

The day of the presentation finally arrived. Hao woke up feeling nervous. He had spent a lot of time preparing and practicing with Hanbin, and now it was time to showcase their hard work. He put on a light layer of makeup to cover up his identity and dressed carefully to avoid any accidental slips.

When he arrived at the university, he took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He hoped he could get through this day without Hanbin figuring out that he was “Ricky,” the guy he had gone on a blind date with.

As they walked into the classroom, Hao felt a flutter of anxiety when he spotted Hanbin. He quickly approached him, trying to act casual. “Hey, ready for the presentation?”

“Yeah, I’m ready! Let’s impress them!” Hanbin replied, his enthusiasm infectious.

The two worked well together, seamlessly presenting their project. After their presentation, the students began to mingle, and Hao felt the tension lift. But before he could breathe a sigh of relief, Ricky decided to play a prank on him. Standing a few feet away, Ricky grinned and moved his foot into Hao's path.

“Watch out!” Ricky called out, but it was too late for Hao to react.

Hao tripped over Ricky's foot and went flying straight into Hanbin's chest. The impact was unexpected, and Hao's heart raced as he found himself staring up at Hanbin, who looked equally startled. In the chaos, Hao's hand accidentally snagged Hanbin's shirt, and with a loud rip, the fabric tore open, exposing Hanbin’s toned chest, which was adorned with a striking tattoo.

“Whoa!” Hanbin exclaimed, eyes wide in surprise.

Hao's eyes went even wider as he realized what he had done. He had landed face-first on Hanbin’s chest, his head resting right above the tattoo. The room fell silent as everyone processed what had just happened.

Hao scrambled to get off Hanbin, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. “I—I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to!” he stammered, mortified.

Ricky stood nearby, barely containing his laughter. “Nice save, Hao!”

Hao shot Ricky a furious glare, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed. “You did that on purpose!” he whispered angrily.

Hanbin looked amused, a smile breaking through his initial surprise. “Are you okay?” he asked, his tone lighthearted.

“Yeah, I’m fine! Just… clumsy, I guess,” Hao forced a laugh, trying to shake off the humiliation. But deep down, his heart was racing for another reason entirely.

“Alright then, I guess that’s one way to break the ice,” Hanbin said with a chuckle, his expression warm.

“Yeah, for sure! Well, I should probably get going,” Hao said, eager to escape the awkwardness.

“Okay, see you later?” Hanbin replied, a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

“Definitely!” Hao said, hurrying away to the bathroom to collect his thoughts. He needed to avoid Hanbin for a while and figure out how to keep his secret safe.

Once in the bathroom, he splashed cold water on his face, trying to calm his racing heart. Why did I have to trip? The embarrassment was overwhelming, but he was grateful that no one else had witnessed the incident.

As Hao collected himself, Gyuvin sat quietly nearby, a knowing smile creeping onto his face.
