The night air crackled with tension as they stood on the rooftop, the city lights below flickering like distant stars.

Iseul gripped the railing, her knuckles white, lost in the chaos of her heart.

Jeonghan stood nearby, his gaze soft but confused, sensing a distance between them he couldn't understand. Joshua, on the other side, watched with eyes sharp, his usual smirk absent.

"Iseul, what's happening?" Jeonghan's voice was low, laced with uncertainty.

She had always been there—steady, his best friend—but now something had changed, and it terrified him.

Iseul met his eyes briefly, guilt gnawing at her.

She had waited for years, hoping he'd see her as more than a friend.

Now, with Joshua in the picture, that hope felt distant. "Maybe you should ask Joshua," she whispered, her voice barely audible but heavy with meaning.

Jeonghan's eyes shifted to Joshua, confusion deepening. "Joshua? What does he have to do with this?"

Joshua's lips twitched into a faint smile. "You've had years, Jeonghan. I've only had a few months." His words carried a quiet challenge, one Jeonghan couldn't ignore.

Iseul's heart raced as she stood between them, torn.

She hadn't wanted it to come to this, but here they were—two people she cared about, both wanting pieces of her she couldn't give. "I don't know anymore," she admitted, her voice trembling. "Everything's changed."

Joshua stepped closer, his presence drawing her in. "Maybe it's time to stop pretending," he said softly, the weight of his words hanging between them.

Jeonghan watched, the realization hitting hard.

He had been blind for too long, and now, standing on the edge of losing her, it felt like it might already be too late.
