ANDREW

Finally the dinner was done. I was driving y/n home now. But something seemed off today. I was having this guilty feeling in me. I don't know why.

I glance at her and she was looking out of the window

I glance at her and she was looking out of the window. She seemed so quiet. Very quiet since the family dinner.

Those tears in her beautiful eyes pained my heart. I should apologise to her. In a very decent way.

She is a girl. My younger brother's words echo in my mind.  She is a girl and has feelings too, don't fxck this up andrew for your selfish feelings.

He is right. I am too selfish to bring a girl into all this. Especially in family matter when i know how cruel my step-mother and her daughter can be, but that doesn't mean i can't protect her from them. And if they try hurting her then i will surely chase them out from my father's house.

"Andrew" her soft voice pulls me out of my thoughts. I glance at her. "Yes darling?" I ask. "You seem like you have zoned off" she says. I shake my head and stop by the ice-cream shop.

Her eyes goes there and a small smile forms on her face. I get down and go to her side. I open the door and put my hand out for her. She takes my hand and gets down. I immediately shrug off my blazer and dap it around her body because the weather in night is too chill. She blushes, her eyes sparkling.

Something in my heart flutters seeing her smile.

We both walk to the palour. I immediately order a french vanilla for myself, but this girl beside me takes her time in ordering. She bends down peeking at all the flavours. She straightens up and sighs.

"Belgium chocolate chip" she says. The old lady serves her that and gives it to her. Y/n takes it and smiles. I pay and we walk off from there.

We reach over to a bridge and y/n stands there looking down at the flowing stream

We reach over to a bridge and y/n stands there looking down at the flowing stream. I catch her glacing at moon and she still hasn't touched her ice-cream.

"Babe" i say. She looks a little startled. "Yes" she says softly. "What's wrong?" I ask her. "Nothing" she whispers and takes a scoop from her ice-cream. She closes her eyes, a smile tugging on her pretty lips, she smiles brightly like a little child and then savours the taste.
