2 weeks later...
Celine's POV:
.
I was sitting cross-legged on Melissa's bedroom floor, surrounded by our crew, a wave of excitement buzzing in the air. This was our safe space, a bubble of laughter and friendship, and I couldn't wait to share something special.
"Okay, everyone!" I announced, trying to contain my giggles. 'you know how Melissa always makes fun of my favorite musician, Jmancurly?' 'I have a hilarious video to show you that Melissa sent me a few weeks ago!'
The group leaned in, curiosity piqued. "What's it about?" Monica asked, her eyes wide with anticipation.
"Just wait!" I grinned, pulling up the video on my phone. I pressed play, and there was Melissa, decked out in a ridiculous wig that gave her an '80s vibe, complete with bright pink sunglasses.
"Hey y'all, I'm JmanStupid, and this is my crew!" she declared, pointing dramatically at her plushies lined up behind her. One of them, a fluffy bear wearing headphones, had a post-it on its forehead with my name scribbled on it.
The room erupted with laughter before she even got to the good part.
Melissa then picked up the headphone-wearing plushie and declared, "Celine Hunter, this song is for you!"
The plushie twirled in her hands, and I couldn't help but giggle at her antics. Melissa started singing, her voice exaggerated and playful:
"CELIIIIINE; YOU ARE EXTREMELY GOOD AT PLAYING GORILLA TAAAAAG ON YOUR VR; AND YOUR FRIEND MELISSAAAA DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO GET OUT OF THE BASEMEEEEENT; AND I WANNA PLAY MINIGAMES WITH YOU ON GORILLA TAG FOREVVERRR FOR THE REST OF MY LIFEEE!"
As she spun the plushie around, the absurdity of it all had everyone rolling on the floor. I was in stitches, tears streaming down my cheeks as I could barely catch my breath.
"Why is this so funny?" Nicole gasped between laughs. "I can't take it!"
Monica clutched her stomach, trying to regain her composure. "The wig! The sunglasses! Everything!"
"I can't believe she did this," Sophie wheezed, wiping away her laughter-induced tears.
When the video ended, we were all still laughing, unable to control ourselves. Melissa looked absolutely ridiculous, but that was what made it perfect.
"I'm so glad you guys love it!" I finally managed to say, still catching my breath. "Melissa, you are the queen of impersonations!"
Melissa struck a dramatic pose. "Thank you, thank you! I'll be here all week!"
The laughter filled the room, weaving a beautiful thread of joy through our friendship. It was moments like this that reminded me how lucky we were to have each other.
With every giggle and shared memory, our bond grew stronger. It didn't matter what challenges lay ahead—we would face them together, armed with laughter and an endless supply of inside jokes.
And honestly? I couldn't wait to see what Melissa would come up with next.
