Third person POV:

It was the Knight familys annual halloween ball. Just like every year there would be only the most important people attending. This year Mr Knight had decided to invite the nursery staff in an attempt to show how well run and pulled together the nursery business was. As the cars pulled up the room began to fill with chatter and music. The elegant masks and outfits filled the room. A masquerade ball.

The Knight children both arrived one by one. Reece arrived First with Mia on his arm both dressed in elegant suits with matching masks.
"Father" Reece nodded in his direction.
"Reece, Mia lovely to see you made it" The man replied.
"The feeling isn't mutual." The redhead snarled and simply glared at the man
"Im going to the bar later reecey" And suddenly the redhead was gone.
"Don't blame the girl for running I would to if i was stuck with you."Autumn grimaced appearing out of absolutely nowhere
"Mutton chops.Glad you finally decided to arrive" Rodger stated codly
"You're lucky im here. Im going to drink. Bye." And the younger sibling was gone.

Amelias Pov:

I wondered to the bar my blood absolutely fucking boiling. I wanted nothing more than to be in my warm bed with my cat watching shitty tv but instead i was stuck at my stupid boyfriends fathers party. As i sat down at the bar i ordered 2 shots and a wine making sure to down the shots immediately before grabbing the wine before hesitantly finishing it in one go.
"Thats a lot of alcohol in one go" A soft voice spoke from beside me.

I turned and I was met with a fucking goddess. Despite the fact I could barely see her face I knew this was the most beautiful women i'd ever seen. My breathe hitched before i composed myself.
"Well its going to be a long night no pun intended so i need to let off some steam"
The women giggled before replying "Well i could keep you company if you'd like" I could see the smile across her face as she offered.

"Sure take a seat and tell me all about yourself" I smiled before i ordered us a few drinks and moved us to a more quiet corner in the room away from prying eyes and ears.

We'd agreed not to disclose our names to keep the ball etiquette in place. She told me all about her job and how she worked at a nursery (presumably rodgers). She spoke with so much joy and love you could really tell just how much she adored her job. As the night continued we got to know eachother more and more. I learned that she loved black roses , reading and watching the sunset.

"I hate to be that person but would you mind if we continued this conversation outside. Ive had so many drinks and im in dire need of a Ciggerette." I spoke softly and drunkenly hoping that she would agree and not go speak to someone else.

"Of course I could do with a cigg actually i was hoping you'd ask. Lets get going"

Her beautiful voice rang through my ears as i grabbed her hand and pulled her out onto one of the balconys. We stayed hand in hand until we came to a hult.
The music was barely audible outside and the crisp air filled the night.

"Want One?" I asked offering the box to the women
"Thank You" Her finger lightly grazed mine as she pulled a Ciggerette out.
"Malborough golds, You have taste darling." She smirked before putting it into her mouth.
"Only the best for You sweetheart. Plus they are my favourites."
I siezed the opportunity to stand closer as i turned my head to face her and signaled for her to lean in so i could light both of our ciggs at the same time. My breathe hitched as our eyes locked.

She cleared her throat "Its quite cold tonight." she took a drag of her Ciggerette and lightly smiled
"Here take this."I pulled my blazer off and wrapped it around the women.
"You dont have to really, wont you get cold?"She took another drag giving me a worried look.
"Dont worry sweetheart im actually feeling quite hot" I replied taking a puff and giving her a smile.
"Mhm if you insist darling"
