"So? Come on, spill!" Rachel urged, taking her seat beside Hana.
"Ugh, I hate my life," Hana groaned, dropping her head onto the table..
"What happened? Did you get kicked off the case?" Rachel asked, with curiosity.
"No, what I got stuck with is way worse, I would've preferred being kicked off," Hana grumbled in frustration.
After a short pause, Hana continued. "Jungkook got assigned to work on the case with me," Hana said, groaning.
Rachel's confused expression quickly morphed into a mischievous smirk, followed by a fit of giggles. Hana shot her a glare.
"Why are you laughing? Do you seriously think this is funny? " Hana asked, irritated.
"One of these days you're going to realize," Rachel said, teasingly.
"Realize what?" Hana asked curiously as she lifted her head up and turned to face her.
Rachel gave her one of those "Are you being serious right now?" looks.
"What?" Hana asked again.
"It's just, the way he looks at you and stuff," Rachel said carefully.
Hana was beyond confused.
"The way he looks at me? He looks at me like he wants to strangle me," Hana said chuckling, taking a sip of water.
Rachel leaned in slightly. "Trust me, it's more than that," she said, smirking. "There's definitely something else going on between you two."
Hana nearly choked on her water, giving Rachel a startled look.
"What? I'm just saying, there's obvious tension between you guys. You can't deny it," Rachel shrugged.
"Please, as if. I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole," Hana said, finding the idea of her and Jungkook having chemistry stupid.
Rachel raised an eyebrow. "You're not fooling anyone, Hana. Least of all, yourself."
Hana shook her head, laughing. "You're ridiculous. Jungkook and I can't even hold a civil conversation. Hell, we can't even be in the same room as each other without wanting to bite the each others heads off"
Rachel leaned in and whispered. "That's exactly what makes it so hot, Hana."
"I think you've been reading too many romance novels. Besides, Jungkook's arrogant, infuriating, and thinks he's better than everyone else. I'd lose my mind being around him more than I have to. And then there's the whole working-together part. It'd be an absolute disaster. The last thing I need is that kind of messy, unpredictable drama. I prefer a more stable relationship." Hana said.
"Yeah, because this afternoon was just so stable, right?" Rachel replied, fighting the urge to roll her eyes. She never liked Taehyung. She didn't think he was good enough for Hana.
"Come on Rache, Tae's been going through a rough time," Hana said sympathetically.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm sure," Rachel said sarcastically.
"Rachel, come on. I love him. You know that, so why bother talking to me about other men. Jungkook of all people." Hana said.
"I don't know, just thought I'd point it out," Rachel shrugged. "Anyways, when are you and Jungkook getting started on the case ?" she asked, sounding genuinely curious.
"Ugh, I don't even know," Hana said as she groaned and buried her face into her palms. "I guess I could email him?" Hana said, trying to remember if she blocked his email or not.
